400k exp as lvl 60 up to lvl 70

Hi MMowned, lately I've been experimenting on how to powerlevel chars, and i found quite a good method which I want to explain to you, so here is my mini guide:

Valgarde Door Method:

you all know the area just in front of the Valgarde keep, as it is one of the starting areas in wotlk, there's mobs fighting with the guards in constantly spawning waves.

This is so far nothing new and is well known, so credits for finding this don't go to me, however, i found a method using this for pulling of a heavy amount of exp, even for as low as lvl 60 characters.

The special thing about those mobs is, that the exp they grant (it's even strange they grant exp at all) is NOT determined by the amount of damage you do to them, but by the amount of life they have left when you tag them.

This means you can do 1 point of damage to them while they still have 98% of their life left and when the guards finish them off, you'll be granted the full exp as if you killed them all the way yourself.

a funny site note: You can loot the wolfes if you click them fast enough before they despawn



so as a ranged position yourself on the wall, tag the mobs (don't pull aggro or they'll evade) and let the guards finish them.This can be done as a lvl 60 even and yields a hefty amount of xp, if you dont believe me check my youtube video, which has a tagging method starting at lvl 65 that gets me to 500k exp unrested.

this is ally only unless there is an equivalent event for horde, which i can't answer sinde i don't have any horde chars that high.

as to where the spot is:howling fjord starting town, you actually cant miss it, it's right at the entrance door.Coordinates are 58/64

Ah, I see alliance only. Can someone give me a quick route, I have a 65 warlock. Stormwind to this area, I have NO IDEA, lol. 4 Horde 80's and no idea how to get where, on ally side.

im going to try this as a rogue and have my alli healing/tanking mobs if needed i will let everyone know how this will work out when i get my rogue to 60

you could also use macros like this

/tar Dragonflayer
/startattack

this should target all the mobs and instead of using startattack could be a instant attack or anyother move
