Same issue for me!
THUD starts as usual then drops : " Unable to retrieve lastest version into for TH, Check your timezone " after 5 - 20min playtime
Issue is reproducable.
First appeared after patch 20.11.25. Earlier version didn't have this issue.
Thx for help in advance!
Someone mentioned to me that for them, this error message was caused by their antivirus program's firewall blocking TH. So, if you're running a firewall, make sure that TH is a whitelisted application.
I could understand this behaviour if my AntiVirus did that always in the past. But this error occures just since the last two TH releases and the App starts as normal.
The overlay is drawn flawless for 5 - 20mins, then the error message pops up.
Is there an check version/update function in TH that was changed in an way lately?
Looked a bit deeper into logs:
TH log says on programmstart:
"2020.11.29 09:34:19.586 NTP query succeeded, lag=41ms, diff=1729ms"
Errormessege says:
"2020.11.29 09:34:59.787 version check is very slow: 30672 milliseconds"
I added TH on whitelist for Antivirus and Firewall with no result. Error remains.

Not sure what is causing this issue, but a small note on:
AV programs update every few hours or on daily basis at least, and that can change their detection and behavior very frequently.
Not to mention, TurboHud also changes from version to another, especially more recently.
So, it is very possible for an AV to suddenly start flagging something it never did in the past.
Read the solution to the problem in this topic
