[Guide] To the demon hunter!

Hello everyone there must be alot of you who play demon hunter out there so i thought i should give you some tips!

Two Hand Crossbow + Quiver.

The most important thing about a demon hunter is his weapon! The better the weapon the higher the dps you will put out with it!

Let us start with 2hand crossbows. In my opinion they are the best weapons for a demon hunter.Why?Because if you have 20% crit + archery mastery + sharpshooter you will output insane burst/nuke with minimal effort plus you are able to equip a quiver which is really really neat to have because of attack speed , crit chance , extra discipline , elemental arrow damage!

The ideal quiver would be:
Dead man's legacy
20% attack speed
7.5% Critical chance
10-11% Elemental arrow damage
100-160 dexterity dexterity
Socket

Pros:
Quiver
Crit damage from Archery
2Hand Xbows can have the highest dps in the game(1700)
Awesome sound when you attack makes you feel badass +morale dah
Cons:
Doesn't work without a decent Xbow
Ideal quiver is hard to find
Xbow animation is bad (Personal opinion)
Slow hatred regeneration

One Hand Crossbows.
Let us move on the 1hand xbows section! One hand Crossbows are the weakest in my opinion. Why? Because you need 2 of them to do legit dps because one auto attack is with one xbow and the next one is with the other so you need two good hand xbows to do decent dps.The bonus of having two 1hand xbows is +15% attack speed and stats.
The other bonus is fast hatred regenaration because of high attack speed!
Pros:
Attack speed
Hatred regen
Archery passive(+10% crit)

Cons:
Smaller chance to get 2 Decent 1hand xbows
lower max dps (1300)
No quiver?

Bow + Quiver.

Bows hit almost as hard as two hand xbows but they specialize in higher attack speed and a little less damage.The archery passive provides 15% increased damage so that covers abit the damage diffrence of 2hand xbow and Bow!

Pros:
Higher attack speed than 2hand xbows
Quiver
Bows are more easily acquired!
Fast hatred regen

Cons:
Hatred spending abilities don't hit as hard as 2hand xbows but are pretty close
Lower max dps(1500)

This covers up the weapons of the demon hunter! There is one extra comb that i did not add because it needs further research 1hand xbow + quiver will update the guide later.

Now what stats do you need?
First you need to get atleast 2.25 attack speed to have some decent hatred regen you should try that by looking for rings / amules / hands with high attack speed!
Legendaries may also have attack speed on them like heads (Mempo of twilight,Andariel's visage) and chests!

After attack speed is capped you will need critical chance 25%+ is really good you should try to attain critical hit from your quiver / hands / head / rings / amulet / bracers

After you are done with critical hit chance you will need another really important stat critical hit damage!This stat is really amazing i have found that 250% - 300% is the ideal critical hit damage it makes your elemental arrow hit really really hard and burst down things with sharpshooter!

Now that we have covered the offensive stats section we should move onto defensive stats am i right?

Max Discipline,this is by far the most important stat as a demon hunter it allows you to pop your defensive skills way more you want to get 56 Max discipline to be able to smokescreen FOUR times then another FOUR times with preparation and if backup plan proccs you could use it an addition FOUR times!

That's a total of 12 times smokescreen x 1.5 sec = 18 sec of invurnerability!
That means 18 secs of FREE dps without having to worry about anything!

You should try to get max discipline from Quiver/Weapon/Set items/Legendaries.

Vitality:
Don't even bother with this stat you are a glass cannon class going defensive should only be considered if you are in hardcore!

Resistance:
Same as above.

'Kay by now you should be like okay this is cool what skills do i use!

This is the cookie cutter build i use and have cleared up to act4 in inferno !

Hungering Arrow,Spray of Teeth : Fast Projectile,The aoe damage from the crits makes clearing packs really really easy and gives you additional damage on your hungering arrow when it crits!
Elemental arrow,Nether tentacles: Slow projectile,also retuns you some life when it hits , it moves slowly thus it can hit enemies one two or even three times and like six times if they are missile dumpening (Best case scenario)

Smokescreen,Lingering Fog,Your God mode what else.

Caltrops,Torturous ground,Makes your enemies immobile for 2 seconds low discipline cost ideal for kiting.

Preparation,Backup plan, 30% chance for preparation to not trigger cooldown ! Just an insane skill i have gotten 5 proccs in a row by far the skill after smokescreen synergizes perfectly with the rest of your skills

The rest are player dependant

Marked for death,mortal enemy,12% addition damage + hatred regenaration great for single targeting!

Bat Companion,3 hatred per sec self explanatory

Shadow power,i never really use this skill but it can be quite legit versus reflect damage if there is a little vitality/res on your gear

Vault,Tumble allows you to quickly move through the battlefield great for dodging skills and repositioning

Passive skills

[Must have]Sharpshooter: Insane burst

[Must have]Archery: This one is a must free dps

[Decent]Steady Aim:20% free damage if you are at 10 yards you are most likely dead

[Viable]Cull of the weak if you are using entagling shot 15% damage at all ranges.

[Semi-Decent]Night staler: This passive skill is really really good if you got alot of crit you can get alot of free discipline through this but you have to sacrifice damage!

The smokescreen issue a little bit more complicated than you make it seem. There is a 2s cooldown on smokescreen and w/ lingering fog it only lasts 1.5s. So you have .5s of being vulnerable + whatever server lag between hitting the spell and it going off which can be significant at times. If you're standing in any aoe effects or close to any elites, that's plenty of time in inferno for them to 1-shot you between SS casts.

I agree it is still essential but you don't quite get 18s or invulnerability.

Also, we require a lot of kiting, so movement speed gear (15-25% ideally) is especially useful for us.
