Diablo 3 RoS: my review

I played D3 since the second day after launch (i was sick the day off) and it was fun at first. but then it got boring fast as legendaries didnt feel like legendaries, AH wasnt as cool as i though it would be. the botting was awesome though. it was easy with demonbuddy. but overall the game didnt feel like a jump. Now with reaper of souls, it feel awesome again! legendaries are legendaries. New loot system works great. Crusader is fun.It feels rewarding. that's just the very least. I am drunk, but the game is wayyyyyyyyyy better since the release of D3. plus it feels fair for everyone. NO MORE D3 STORES BULLSHIT!

Legendaries are great.. for a while. Due to Loot 2.0 the item progression takes less time hence you will eventually end up grinding for 0.1% damage increase just like before expansion.
Rest of the expansion is all good.

Here's a short review of D3: RoS from my end:

+AH Closed - No more 'Grinding the AH'.
+Loot 2.0 - One actually gets rewarded for playing.
+Enchanter feature - Even if you get an item(s) with average stats you can still improve it to be a decent item. A good drop can become godly.
+Crafting Armor/Weapons- Simplified crafting allows you to fill in slots where you have been unlucky as you level. Crafting costs are at a level that you feel comfortable to burn mats as you are levelling instead of saving for 60.

-Crafting Gems - With the AH gone and no gold trade allowed the incoming gold has been significantly reduced but the outgoing gold in the form of Gem Crafts costs are unbalanced. Some tuning is required.


Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with Diablo 3 in its current iteration. This is the game Diablo 3 should have been from day one. If you quit D3 during the early days for any reason now is the time to come back.
I would also like to mention that the Reaper of Souls expansion launch has been one of the smoothest I've experienced. Contrasting heavily with the Vanilla launch.

The expansion is okay so far. The only big letdown imo is that there's no CGI cinematic at the end. Also the story is pretty meh overall.

I hope they hold on the promise that the next content patch will bring ladders.
