I sell gold, payment is processed, i am banned.

will gold be disputed on paypal?

For #1, i dun think there will be a chargeback. the payment will still proceed after the status turns to '''processing'' prior to the AC being banned iirc.


For #2, if the AC is being banned when ya r selling gold on it. the auction will just disappear tgt with it. so there's no sales reversal to talk abt.

What are you talking about? Neither of those things are mentioned in my guide so what are you asking?

Why would you get banned for selling gold on the RMAH? It's what its there for...

i think we should be open for discussion since this is a general discussion sub forum and nt the sub forum of diablo 3 guide for guide posting where no question is allow


he's basically enquiring on the process of sales in the event of a ban.


i believed massive amt of gold selling in RMAH should trigger something if they really wanna check it. for eg, [like your source of gold.]

I created a new account just to sell gold, but got banned shortly after the first batch went through. i didn't do anything other than posting the gold auctions and log off.

using the rmah purely for profit is against the tos, so you should be careful about using it too much or with lvl1 chars.

got my account unbanned through a ticket, but it won't let me access the rmah until i've sent them a scan of my id and utility bill.

Your issue seems to be more related to name, contact info etc not matching exactly from your battle.net account to your paypal. If they see anything fishy about information not matching they will lock your account, or so I've heard. It's probably why they are asking for id and utility bill, they need to know if its actually you or not. I don't think the acount getting locked has anything to do with account being new or level 1 but I could be wrong.

great info. Im pretty sure 99% of the goldsellers , me included, did/do not know about this. Makes sense now that i never sold anything..
Have a couple of auctions posted from 5am to 9 am, if this would work id go nuts.

bought key from a store -> gave gold from other acc (which is still active since release) -> sold gold -> banned when my last auction expired

Send in the ID and the credentials and they will unlock it. You account got flagged for potential suspicious activity on the AH, nothing wrong with that just need to verify your account and you should be all set. Blizzard isn't like the Eye of Sauron that you need to make sure always is looking the other way. They are just a company making money. If you have a problem with your account talk to them instead of being scared of what might happen.

The anxiety people seem to get when it comes to botting and getting banned is humorous....

In my experience if you're botting or transferring gold from a botting account, it is reasonable to be anxious. Had it happen to me in WoW, I sent in a ticket cause I bought wrong item with justice points, and 3 days later I got refunded, day after that I got banned on that account for association to exploitative accounts. I suppose though that if they didnt ban him now and just want to verify his ID then it'd be safe, but if starts botting again then cut off contact then.
