Until then, of the two classes you listed, wizard is the best at having ranged attacks and monk is the best at melee. did that help?

monk gear is generally going to be more expensive. for 20m you will get more out of a wizard than you will out of a monk, especially if this is for an MF set. Monks are popular and share gear with DH which are probably the most popular chars.

Wiz are popular but nobody plays WD so you have a smaller pool looking for INT gear.

monk gear is also slightly harder to find, cause you are looking for [your res of choice + resall], which means an added factor of variability to all the armor you get. it doesn't exactly make it more expensive but it makes completing the gear-set significantly more time consuming.

However, as you upgrade its probably gonna get very expensive for meaningful wiz peices where you might see more immediate utility out of what one item can get on a monk. doubling LPH on a ring or a big res-all boost on armor. this makes gearing up part by part feel slightly better on the monk, as opposed to kite and do progressively more damage while you kite on the wiz.

it doesn't matter because 20 mill is a pitiful amount of gold

so just put it into what you have more fun playing

if you want to try making the money back, i haven't heard any news of monks outfarming wiz since the game released
