    VM a ban clause?

I really haven't seen any talk on this forum about it, but has anyone considered that some bans are from using VM - which are considered "3rd party software".

I read everyday someone new being banned that hadn't used a bot (I'll consider about 10% of these people to be telling the truth) but were banned due to "3rd party software"... Blizzard isn't this evil, they have to have a reason for their bans. So for the people who were banned without ever using a bot or any software, were you using any type of Virtual Machine?

I've used vm to protect my main. It's worked so far and doesn't actually cause a ban.

if they ban people running diablo 3 on Linux with WINE, then running in VMware (which is much more suspicious, and kinda obvious botting) is more likely to get banned. My three botting accounts on vmware were banned, one running alone on laptopt was not.

Most ban reports I've seen indicates usage of VMware.

I bot my accounts all on one PC and don't use any sort of virtualization or multiboxing software and they're all still fine.

most stupid thing i have ever heard lol. noone got banned cause of AutoIT or running a Virtual Machine

they were banned cause of BOTTING or Immortal Bot or HB (which are detected).

virtual machines and autoit are NOT illegal third party software.

but when u bot 24/7 since release (for example) u will get ur ban 100%!!!!!!!!!! every1 forgot this?

so, when you play like 10-14 hrs /day mixing botting /regular playing (most bot ofc), and you only get your main banned. How you explain that. All know they jsut roll the dice and ban (no lol, all know its game creation limit => flag => if they watch => BAN

just bad luck that they took a closer look on ur mainacc dude. just bad luck :/....

my bot is still running in VM with AutoIT 24/7 and no ban yet. but i will get one 100% with this acc, if i continue or not. it does not matter. if they take a closer look at ur games u made they will ban u anyway no matter u played normally last weeks. dont forget!

Apparently the D3 client can or does send through some basic system information, such as the video card or video card driver being used.

VMware uses a specific vmware named driver for the video which gives it away.

it is still allowed to play D3 in a virtual machine. if u are using a programm which does NOT write or read memory of D3, its allowed to use.

It just so happens that I have been botting the AH 24/7 for almost 3 weeks now without a ban - and no VM...
