    Theory! DH never dying build!

    Just a theory but here it goes....
    ok so i found out that caltrops with the jagged spike rune triggers life on hit. Caltrops does damage every second and you can have 5 at once. With 800life life on hit thats 4000 life a sec per enemy you hit with 5 caltrops. Toss in chakram - shuriken cloud thats 4800k life per hit, possibly higher by using a primary aoe skill aswell. So my idea is stacking res and vit and having at least 1k life on hit to not go down in inferno. There may need to be sum kitting when prep is on cd tho.

    What do you guys think?

    While it is a good idea in theory, I do not think it would execute well. When I went full Vit/resists on my DH, (got to 600 resists, and around 40k health), I would still get 2 shot in A2+. Even with 10k life regen per hit (counting in chakram and the caltrops), you would need 4 hits to regen full health. Considering your Attack Speed would be ~2 attacks per second, you would need 2 seconds to regen 40k health. In that time, two monsters could hit you for 20k each in 1 second, killing you.

    Now, I'm not saying it wouldn't work. Heck, in Guildwars I didn't think 55 HP monks would work, yet it did, quite well. So, if anyone wants to try it, be my guest, if it works, that's awesome.

    im using my idea atm in hell and im not dying, damage is a tiny bit of an issue but i dont think ill ever die, i also have zero res. Myabe theres a specific boss in inferno where he has slow attack speed and doesnt finish you in 1 hit.

    Pretty much everything oneshots demon hunters, you would rather not waste stats on hp or res in inferno just stack damage (kill it before it kills you)

    My Monk has ~700k Effective HP (if you don't know what that is, please read it up before commenting) and there's still normal mobs (let alone those mobs as rare/champion packs) in Act 3/4 which almost or straight-out oneshot me. I doubt you have the slightest clue of how much damage Inferno enemies (especially Act 3/4) really do.

    I tried a similar survivability build on inferno with demon hunter. It works in act 1 and ?maybe? act 2 if your gear is godlike. In act 3 and 4 it just doesn't work because you WILL get 1 or 2 shot no matter how much defense you get on your DH. It's better to go all out damage for now.
    This build could be viable after the upcoming inferno nerf but until then it's better to play DH as glass cannon.
    I like the idea of having a dh that just won't die so I might try a survivability build after the inferno nerf again. But that's then not now.

    e: In other words you could say that the damage mobs in inferno do is broken nothing wrong with the build itself.
