    Warden Up

    So I don't know if you guys check out other forums or anything, but I've been reading several things about Warden turning on for D3. We should take heed with what we do and hope for the best!

    <June 8th/9th>
    Blatant warmods are being distributed. Specific details will not be provided as to what each one does for various reasons. As the end-user (read: cheater), all you need to know is that they are there and you should be using a hack with preemptive measures in place to deal with them (such as D3A!). It is the job of the developer to deal with it. Anyone with the need-to-know should already know how to dump and analyze themselves. There is plenty of information floating about. I believe tracing back from FIC or [md5].mod reference and obtaining RC4 decryption key on warden loading is still the common convention, but I don't know much direct information regarding D3's implementation specifically.

    Yep. For the unaware, warmods = the stuff that can get you flagged. There are only two bots I would trust now and one isn't available until next week and the other is being updated.

    That ban wave cannon is being loaded.

    Hopefully if it wasn't for too long (I did about a half hour today too) it won't be flagged.

    Anyone know how detectable AutoIt is via Warden, or any potential workarounds to prevent Warden from detecting it? (i.e. would changing the process name work, or does warden dig deeper into the actual memory to detect autoit exe patterns?)

    I don't know much about Warden nor how it uses detection, however, from what I gathered is Warden can't detect AutoIT because it doesn't "hook" into the game, but I don't know if it actively scans for Application names (Lets say you have AutoIT running as D3Bot), I guess its possible to get banned.

    However, anything to do with automation should be used at the person's own risk because there is a chance you could get banned no matter what safety measures you use. And again, I am not very knowledgeable about Warden, so please don't bank everything on what I say, cause if I were wrong and you got banned, I'd feel pretty shitty! Maybe someone with more knowledge can comment on it.

    Lol yes, because it's completely impossible that Warden is activated with warmods right now with the RMAH about to be released

    Uh the same reason anyone is scared of getting caught when taking a risk, whether the benefit outweighs that risk or not.

    But anyone know exactly how Warden typically operates with WoW and what not, once activated is it scanning 24/7 or does it just scan in waves? I had run my bot yesterday for about 30 min, but I'm wondering if that means I'm still screwed, or if there is still a chance I'm ok.

    Yeah, he totally has the intention to advertise D3A considering all those threads here which advertise the pay2use alternatives.

    Tbh, I'm not sure, there are a few good threads around the forums though with more insight to warden.

    Also, to the poster who feels this is an advertisement/fanboyism of D3A, you sir, are mistaken. The quote was taken from Blizzhackers which is where the Developer mods at, so of course it would be thrown in there because he's addressing their community, we're not scared of getting banned, we're more interested in circumventing it if at all possible, and wheres the harm with informing people? We're a community which means helping each other out in anyway we can, if this helps somebody then awesome, I'm doing my job, if not then at least I tried.

    You're retarded, right?

    Sorry, I would have been here sooner, but I had to sift through all the Immortal Bot advertisements. You know, advertisements for a bot that's actually pay2hack. It mentions D3A because he copy posted it from BH, where the current big, active project is D3A (which is free) and has exactly the warden guard implementation needed to detect when Warden attempted to load new modules.

    AutoIt has generally always been considered safe with regard to Warden. Technically, Warden *could* detect a specific AU3 script, but it is unlikely unless the script is doing something really malicious and is widespread.

    Warden is legally not allowed to scan outside of the respective game's process, otherwise it would be a massive invasion of privacy. Even if you agree to it, they'd get massive flack from everyone and it'd turn into a PR nightmare.
