Please note that the following table only applies to those that choose to cash out via Paypal and have a US bank account linked to their Paypal account.

PayPal will not charge any fees for transfers to them. You'll pay a 15% transfer fee to move any funds to your PayPal account, and then whatever you do with the money after that is between you and them. But the transfer to PayPal is 15%, and that's it.

Thanks for posting the table. + rep for that, matey

A mate of mine told me about the minimum sell price for an item, but I did not fully understand for why. Now looking at that table it all makes sense .

I aim to be mostly dealing in commodities, at least until I get an idea of what's good on the item side. I may even play the Auction House a bit, but that could take quite a lot of extra work, unless I use some sort of bot to automate the process. But I really enjoy grinding for loot and mats, and doing some crafting, so will probably just stick with that.

Even though I have experience of selling things for real money on WoW, I will still be amazed as the first lot of sales are made when people pass their dollars, pounds, and euros over for virtual goods on the RMAH.

I'm quite excited, and possibly quite sad (geek), and more than likely quite mad, lol

Commodities? Could you explain items vs commodities for me please?

Other than that I can wait to make money with my lack of a social life. Actually I take that back, my friend and I are going to be trying to make money with the RMAH. Thanks for posting this!

Items are things like weapons and armour

Commodities are gold (in game money) and the materials you use to make items (crafting material): metal, cloth, etc.

Oh I see. Can you explain to me why the item profit is so low at the beginning? And why never sell for less than $6.67? I realize that's where their profits meet and flip but what significance does that make?

Item profit starts low and then increases because Blizzard has a base charge for items rather than a percentage charge. The significance of the profit flip is that before $6.67, if you sell an item for it's equivalent value on the gold auction house - then sell the gold on the RMAH you'd get more money. After $6.67 it's more useful to use gold to buy rare items and selling them on the RMAH.

eBay is out, they banned the selling of virtual goods . But yes, it will be a lot better to sell on a 3rd party site.
