There is a reason why the recent cards are not shown at black jack tables. It would allow you to massively increase your chances of winning towards the last hands of the stack. People good at counting cards have been making millions with doing it professionally for decades (which involves a budget to begin with, lots of travelling and a dedicated group of crooks), that's why counting cards is illegal in casinos. They will kick you out when they see bets getting larger towards the last few hands.
Similarly, blizzard does not want us to record data about drops or other aspects of the game automatically for whichever specific reasons they have. It is no secret that if you can see the last 1 billion item drops, you can draw conclusions from that about future drops. To give an example you could draw the conclusion that a blackthorne set piece is more likely to drop than thunderfury. If it was a betting game, put your money on blackthorne!!
People who interpret meaning into roulette drops are sad gamblers, people who draw conclusions from d3 loot are sad gamblers that might be onto something. Big difference.^^
