This is working as intended, you can get drops whilst you're in game but sat in town or another zone.

Checking an area covered by others is a smart move though, however this isn't really an exploit because you don't need to do anything to have this happen, It kinda just happens and I'm fairly sure it's intended. If the monster strength was lowered to 1 person instead of 4 whilst they were in other acts BUT they could also drop legendaries for members in the same game, that would be unintended... however that isn't the case.

Dont bother checking the other locations for legendaries. Even though you are all in the same act. We tried killing a pack with me waiting by a random waypoint and then porting on my friend who just killed the elite pack. There was no loot whatsoever.

Its for chest/breakables and such only not packs
