Puzzle Ring Farming +++

I'm sure a lot of you guys have already seen the video of the puzzle ring farming of the butcher. Well let me improve on it a bit for you

Anyways. In the video they are using the Butcher. I have found that any of the act bosses will reset this. I'm not 100% on other bosses, but I believe it should work on any, I have only tried the act bosses.

So here's a few tips.
I personally use Belial in act 2, since at the start of the encounter it's only those serpent guards. Let them whack you, gg goblins.

When you are restacking your neph, if a puzzle goblin is popped out of you, you have to wait (edit)15 minutes for it to reset even if you do the boss encounter, so don't worry and wonder why its broken all of a sudden.

Act DOES change the drops. Say if you do it on Act 3, you are going to find a higher rate of 61-63, since it is Act 3.

I am going to test this on other act mini bosses to see if it works. I will get back to you all on it.

If you have any questions, I will try to answer them if I know.

EDIT: According to a blue post, the goblin is always level 61. It does not turn into a higher level goblin by being in a different act. However after 5 hours of testing, i've noticed a dramatic increase in iLvl on items dropped by being in act 3. Call it RNG, but i personally feel after hours of testing that the loot is better in higher acts.

cant get it work on azmo. it simply does not spawn

I've done it on Asmo, Belial, Butcher and Iskatu repeatedly. Doing it on Maiden of Lust right now.

and to check, if you have had it spawn on the way to asmo, you have to wait 15 minutes.

it's best to take off the ring until you ge 5 stacks, but the ring on before him, and wait 5 minutes for the ring to become active. the ring takes 5 minutes upon putting it on provided the goblin timer has not been set.

i did... like how many hits do i need to take ? cuz i play wizard, its not like i can stand afk and get hits from him


*edit i just read, that the 15min CD stats when u first equip it... that would mean, i have to wait 15min before i do the boss or equip it earlier. i didnt do this, i only equipped it when i started boss.. that could solve my problem. or 5min like u said. however

Confirmed this works on the maiden of lust, making it a lot easier with her little spider spawns.

By the way, you only have to wait 5 minutes when you FIRST equip the ring. If it has spawned a goblin though, the cd appears to be 15.

If anyone has a puzzle ring and wants to try this with me, let me know. US servers. Must be able to take a few hits in act 3 though.

*noticed 2 things so far

first, when i go for refreshing NV buff, I get the 15min cd automatically, even without getting hit/spawning goblin at all.
second, i killed the goblin now 39 times and had No 63 item at all, I wonder if they have been nerfed some time ago ? How have your drops been, shyft ?

ive never had it reset to 15 minutes unless i get hit.

act 1 just did another hour, 3 level 63's
act 3 did another hour, 10 63's
act 4 did 20 minutes no stacks.....4 63's.
this was in runs with 2 rings btw

i mean there is a blue post saying the goblin is always an act 1 inferno goblin regardless in inferno that is level 61, but my drops have said something completely different. it may be a level 61 goblin, but it still seems to drop more in higher difficulties.

Blizz already stated that this ring is only act1 inferno gob. even if you are in act2 3 4

i am well aware of that. now go try actually using the ring in the different acts and tell me what you find loot wise. i personally noticed a difference in the 12 hours i've been using it.

does it work when u trade a single ring among 3 ppl ? does it reset the cooldown when goblin spawns

What if you have 2 rings? Do they share cooldown?
