Pony Level Power level

I did a quick search and didn't see this posted anywhere. It may be elite, or it could be that people don't care because there are better methods to power level, but regardless I think this deserves to be posted here if its something people aren't aware of.

You can enter the pony level without killing diablo (which any of us that played D2 would expect as a pre-req). Basically you can start a new game with a level one, and have a friend come in and open the pony level for you, and clear it. The experience isn't as amazing as you would first hope because of how low your level will be compared to the mobs but in testing I've found that from level 1-20 you will get anywhere from 1-1.5 levels per run, which if you're speed running can be done in 5min. So that works out to about an hour and a half for level 1-20.

You can then do the same with Nightmare and Hell testing with a friend we were able to do

Nightmare ponies level 30-35 a little less than one full level per run.

I haven't tested in hell yet so I'm not sure how good the experience will be for a level 50 +/- that has just gotten to hell mode.

For normal mode I can see this reasonably be worthwhile. For nightmare/hell The core/tower in Act 3 or farming certain quests would be faster for xp. But getting to Act 3 requires a little running through.

However pony is still the fastest for a straight-up level 1, you're right. No necessary boss killing to unlock that.

Couple of things:

1) how is killing mobs exploit ?
2) there are much MUCH faster ways to level if you have someone to boost you and you don't want to deal with bots/scripts

It may not be an exploit, it all comes down to whether Blizzard intended anyone to be able to get into the pony level or not. In D2 you had to Kill diablo to get to the cow level. Here you just have to walk up to it in A1 and have someone in the group that can open it. The same would go for inferno I suppose also. If Blizzard intended it to be this way then it isn't an exploit. but if they nerf it then I can necro this thread in a few months and say I called it

Oh also, sorry Kingdom, it is very similar to yours. I did some searched for pony power level and went through the first 3 pages and didn't see anything.

Definately not an exploit. Thats how it was intended but decent place to magic find aswell!
