Act 1 Farming 1.03 Blue/Yellow elite Farming + Warden/Butcher Kill

Hello this is my first farming post and I'm sorry if this is a repost. I got tired of goblin farming doing the repetitive over and over again. Since 1.03 there is one particular change in the loot drop tables that made it worth it for me to keep farming act 1. This is act 1 so it requires not too much damage however, able to survive/kill elite packs. In every area, you will want to kill all elite packs located in the area. Open the pictures and they have more detailed information about the area and elites.

1.03 Change: Elite packs (Champion/Rare) now drop an additional item for players with 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor, which is guaranteed to be of Rare quality.


1) To start off you will want to start the quest "The Imprisoned Angel : Enter the Cursed Hold"


2) You will start off in New Tristram and will want to teleport to the Cemetery of the Forsaken.

-Once you are in the Cemetery, you want to check the possible 4 crypts. However, if you get Development Hell, do not waste your time clearing it because they made it so that named rares usually dont drop anything anymore.

-Each Crypt has 1-2 blue packs and sometimes a yellow. I have never see three packs in 1 crypt so I believe it can only be up to two packs. Even when you achieve 5 neph stacks, you will still want to clear the rest of the crypts because the more elite groups you kill, the more yellows you obtain.

-There are two possible Events located in this area. One is the "Jar of souls", and the other is "Matriarch’s Bones"



3) Once you have cleared all the crypts availble to you, you want to teleport to Halls of Agony Level 2. There are two elites in this area. Once they are killed, go to the door to the highland passage


4) In the highland passage there is a possible event in which you have to kill a named mob at the end. You will know right away if you have the event because there will be a quest giver. If you dont have it, just go to the cursed hold.


5) In the cursed hold there are two elites packs + warden. The warden is a straight foward boss. Once you are done, just go to halls of agony level 3


6) Once in hall of agony level 3 there is two elite packs. Kill them then make your way to the butcher

7) Once you kill the butcher, you have the option of restarting or teleporting to other areas to kill elite packs for more yellows. The choice is up to you.

Nice guide,you can add Festering Woods to this yet theres 1-3 elite groups in initial map + Warrior's Rest and Crypt of the Ancients has 1 guaranteed elite group for each and you may get Last Stand of the Ancients event for another elite group.

Also people have been doing this since the first week the game came out. Appreciate the effort but it's extremely well known.
