The instructions were from 'wiki dot moeege dot org slash compiling'.
I have some screenshots:

If i try to log in with "test@" as username it just stops working, the log in button stays grey. If I try with any other account in the [email protected] format whereas - = character/s it give me the error.

From the above guide I did not understand this part:
"Sadly even with OSX 10.7.3 Apple didn't update libssl and libcrypto. The easiest way to get the latest
libssl.1.0.0.dylib and libcrypto.1.0.0.dylib is by installing them over MacPorts. Once you've installed
those libs, you need to tell Mono where to find it. Easiest way to do that is by editing
ManagedOpenSsl.dll.config from within Mono:
* <configuration>
* <dllmap os="osx" dll="libeay32" target="/opt/local/lib/libcrypto.1.0.0.dylib"/>
* <dllmap os="osx" dll="ssleay32" target="/opt/local/lib/libssl.1.0.0.dylib"/>
* <dllmap os="!windows,osx" dll="libeay32" target="libcrypto.so.1.0.0"/>
* <dllmap os="!windows,osx" dll="ssleay32" target="libssl.so.1.0.0"/>
* </configuration>"
When I tried to install MacPorts I was unable to do it getting the following error:
"Xcode is not installed, or was installed with unix development (10.5+) or Command line support (10.4) deselected."
I have a MacBook Pro 13''
Verson 10.6.8
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Any help would be much appreciated.
I do not understand much of open-source software and this type of emulators, nor macport and everything else I'm dealing with :].

Hello 12345name,
Diablo 3 Beta with patch 15 on OSX does not work with mooege at the moment. They do not have any OSX developers.
I tried to answer more but the forum does complain about forbidden words and I do not know what I am doing wrong...
Regards,
Red

Ohhhh, I see. I appreciate the response Red.
Do u know if they are working on it or have any intentions of doing it? If so, could you please tell me where should I look for more info about this?
Cheers

Well, you could check the mooege.org (developer) forum. I think they have some ideas.
If you want to compile your own mooege server, you need to install Xcode and the command line tools (preferences, download) for snow leopard. Check your manufacturer (fun fact: it is not allowed to write the name... *facepalm*) dvds. The version in the appstore is for lion only. Than you can install macports. On their site is a guide how to install Xcode, too. After that open terminal and type: sudo port install openssl. Now you can use mono develop to compile the server. I hope I haven't forgotten anything...
You can compile by command line, but you have to replace the build-mono.sh, I think I found that on mooege.org forum:
I found out that the server will crash if you use the option lazy loading=false in config.ini. By the way after compilation you can start the server with the following command: mono mooege.exe in a terminal session. An other thing if you want to add user accounts on the mooege server command line, do not use upper case letters: ThatRed@ will not work, but thatred@ will.#!/bin/bash
# Replaces mixed-mode SQLite path with managed path for Mono Linux/MacOS users
function readlink_f () {(cd "$0" && echo "$(pwd)")}
SCRIPT=readlink_f
SCRIPTPATH=`dirname $SCRIPT`
echo $SCRIPTPATH
sed -e 's/dep\\sqlite\\sqlite-mixed/dep\\sqlite\\sqlite-managed/g' $SCRIPTPATH/../src/Mooege/Mooege-VS2010.csproj > $SCRIPTPATH/../src/Mooege/Mooege-Mono.csproj
xbuild $SCRIPTPATH/Mooege-Mono.sln

Red.

Thanks for everything mate!
And yeah, this forum needs some serious check upon.
No problem. Just in case you haven't noticed, I edited a bit while you answered...
I have installed xcode, macports, openssl and replaced build-mono.sh.
When I try to log in the button stays clicked and nothing else happens.
Here is the code, hopefully it will help:

Welcome to the club! (sorry if I had mislead you in some way.)
I told you so in my first post. See it as a learning adventure. I am sure that they find a solution, read what d3inferno.com had posted on the developer forum at mooege.org. So there could be hope in the end. If you want to test it now, you can use bootcamp with windows 7. My intention was to test if d3 is working on my macbook pro under osx. I have to wait...
Regards.
There's a probable two ways. Virtual Machine diablo or learn how to understand ifconfig on Mac OSX. I have no idea how to use it but I figured it was the same as Microsoft Loopback Adapter. Which if you read the Mooege Developer Discussion Forums you can see that you can set the adapter in microsoft to Blizz's IP address which bypass the thumbprint which I assume ifConfig does the same.
