Do what everyone else does go to some public access point, library, internet cafe that doesn't keep track of your name etc. and post a torrent on Pirate bay. Then when someone stumbles across it they can post a message here that says "Look what's on pirate bay!"

And also I've run into this situation a few times, once you get the C&D - stop. Usually the companies don't have a leg to stand on, and you'll win any case, but the fees it will cost you to get there will financially ruin most people, basically they have deeper pockets and they know it. Although if you broke laws (hacked into their system) to get the info you can be prosecuted.

As far as being in another country, the US and most of it's allies are more than happy to work back and forth with someone breaking laws in other countries, so I wouldn't count on not being hassled.
