Need help with Vmware :D

Ok so ive installed autoit for botting but i still need diablo and i have the game installation disk but it wont work!

could someone please help me and guide me through the steps?
ive tried googling answers but the are all useless :C .

I would download it but my internet speed is terrible...

please help me out

any information about vmware and setting it up would also be appreciated

Ok i think the problem here is that vmware workstation 8 cant play the disk when it is in the VM

Are you using VMWare Workstation or Player? If it is VMWare player there is a little CD icon in the bottom right of the screen. You need to hit connect so the VM recognizes the device from the host. I imagine VMWare workstation is similar but I dont recall.

i am using workstation ok there is a connect but i think only for a usb plugin and not a disk drive :C

If this does not work just share your diablo folder in your network so you can copy it into your vm

So, are you saying you have a set of physical CDs you bought with the game? Or that you have it on your hard drive, I'm not sure I follow.

If its a physical CD then the method I mentioned above should work but if its just the previous installation you had then use one of the methods that b4ldur mentioned.

drag your Diablo III folder from your program files into VMware window wherever you want to put it. It should just copy it over directly and you can play there. You do not need a disc for this to work. Hope that helps
