By the way, I have not named this project myself, but let's just say it was a product of a player's frustration. I just replaced 1 or 2 letters after a great suggestion was made. Usually they do send some form of C&D first, but there are some instances (usually when they are trying to fish-net a bunch of people) where they may have sent out a C&D to a file host that wasn't related to the actual coder or something. More recently, though, actual developers are seeing injunctions with a "cease or you will be fined up to XX ($250k) with jailtime of up to XX years" claus

No initial letter. I first received a phone call. Yes, a phone call. On my PRIVATE cell phone. I had been awake for ~40h and was sitting their smelling like shit, manic as hell, had NOT sold a single copy but was going to start that day, when this lovely individual http://www.facebook.com/manuel.biehl...nds?ft_ref=mni called me up.

"What a lovely surprise" I thought to myself. I panicked. Lowered the initial price massively, lost almost 2k Euros to that (LOTS of cash for me, I lived off 800Eur fixed income +max of 500 for the past years while studying). Thought I couldn't sell if that court order came in as he said. He actually had no doubt whatsoever about being able to get the court order. As if he knew "Well if you want it that way, we can just skip the C&D's and send you a court order right away". I asked him to contact me via the usual route - send a letter and ideally tell me which laws I have broken.
He was unable to do so on the phone, but absolutely certain I may not even code additions for their software at home. Privately - for myself! I lol'ed at him. He seemed inexperienced to me, shaky voice, not very eloquent. I still panicked.
The phone number was not his to use. There was no imminent danger. No higher legal value was being protected than my godamn privacy. Blizzard had passed on the phone number that I had used for registering for their Real Money AH. That coincidentally yielded a ban on the next day, my first and last 250eur item being eternally lost, just like all those items I salvaged by accidentally clicking the left mousebutton once... (they were denying restoration cause its against policy - 40eur lost - lots of wisdom gained).

Like two weeks later he mails me and asks me why I didnt bend over. I didnt quite know what hes talking about.
Turns out he sent a letter to my place or what he claims to have though was my place and actually received a reply LOOOOL.

I asked to be handed that letter for evidence so I could pursue whoever forged that document and impersonated me. I could at least find out who lives at that address. Needless to say, Manuel wasn't very cooperative.

At the point where they have used means available to uncover your actual identity, and depending on your location and other variables, it is most likely a good idea to at least appear to be in compliance with their requests. If you HAVE been profiting from your work (and their work), you will most likely need to hand over your profits and hope they don't try to say you interfered with online play so much that you caused them damages.

I have not made a dime. Bout 1500Eur I'd estimate, I'll post my whole paypal history if anyone doubts that (blackening out the other names ofc!). Lawyers have received 800 so far up front. I've invested 1500h easily. One guy asked for his money back after using a 15Eur lifetime license sucessfully for two months. It's not the kind of market I expected it to be, but without this shit I COULD HAVE FOOD NOW!!

Btw I really stopped work on the project altogether. Mind has been recovering a bit, too. No pressure to release and all I guess. Thanks Blizz lol! No really, I just want to be legit, be able to care for my daughter despite the poor health without receiving any gouvernment support. I'm just born to fail lol. Man if you knew how much shit I've tried in the past, how much energy I've invested into projects and how much I've sometimes risked for them or put up with. This one I thought had a real chance of becoming a career starter. Something to show for when applying for a coding job, since I have no schooling on this sector at all and NOTHING to show for when it comes to former projects. **** I seem to be heading for another wakey-wakey night despite the olanzapine. They've already gone down that road. Thing is, I never wanted a battle net account. This guy Rice who seems to have single handedly read every post on every botting forum listed in chronological order the relevant events that lead to the breech.

no need to be sorry man, im glad at least a few people are interested. i guess im just an evil ass profit hungry bot coder to most. i havent made as much profit as a signle of my customers and have been trying to pay for my rent. epic failure. its an auction House bot with datamining support... im hoping to be able to offer it again once the storm has settled. thats my goal for this case anyway.

It was free for a couple of months, exclusively for ownedcore this all went really bad. I should've kept it free and used it myself. Would've actually made some cash with it that way. Not that I'd be big on money, but as a med student and father of a three year old, you tend to welcome that with open arms. I just couldn't keep it up as a free project anymore. I don't have the means. The way it is now, I invested. Not just 1500h of my time, but also my sanity, my physical health, money for lawyers hosting a spare account etc. I've been bleeding pretty bad. Worst part is I won't have to show
Really looking forward to get some sort of gouvernment support for being a social failure now yay yay. You can see how happy and excited I am.

To speak of "protection" when a company worth many millions is putting pressure on a coder whos handed his bot to around 4 dozen people lol... the only one who needs ****ing protection is me and my family. blizzard never has taken any damage through this bot, bold lies from a company that needs to control every little thing surrounding their games with no respect for the damage done. i dont even open up the door anymore and havent done so in 3 months with the single exception of this arriving at my doorstep.smart move. as always.

i would probably even stopped this if they had given me word when 1000s of people were using this and i hadnt invested so much time. no, they waited till i tried to pay for my living expenses with it, when the customer count went down to 50. Way to go...

Honestly, get a decent lawyer, see if the C&D holds any merit. When Blizz used to send me C&Ds, I trashed them as they were based on completely lacking information. (I got a C&D for something that wasn't even related to Blizzard at all, that was a fun one)

But on a surs note. I know what it's like to be "Disabled" By mental illnesses since I have quite the list of them. I live off disability right now since I refuse to post my work as I'm turned off by the idea that I could get sued for a program for a game. And being American... I don't even have to say more on that part (Glider) :P). I wish I could help out in some way. But making 600 a month and barely scraping by as is.... I really can't. I'm not reading process memory. I'm not even retrieving a handle. This works through blotting DC bitmaps to a DIB and then refreshing with BitBlt to get a pointer to the char array of the color values. Right before I got the court order, I

The court order made me reconsider. Being threatened with jail, with a daughter to care for, especially while having been in complete utter psychosis for months wasn't cool.

-Thing is there was a forged document presented to me by a lawyer which has disappeared. My lawyers won't react to my requests and neither will that other lawyer.-
-Blizzard claimed my bot could do more than a human could, while in reality it's limited by their input limit. I know someone making 8k usd per month with a single buy account, so I strongly doubt a player has no chance to score as many items as the bot. Plus it didnt resell.
-Blizzard also claimed it was bidding on items, which is a straight up lie, despite the oath that applied
-Ive lost so much ****ing weight, since the money from the sales is gone. It was pretty lucrative. The stress has been killing me. Psychotic break wouldnt have been half as bad without this shit. probably non existant. It all started growing after receiving their first call (coincidentally RIGHT the same day I wanted to sell the very first license months ago).
-They took forever to get a court order. German courts demand you have to get one within 1 month or it cannot be considered urgent enough to deny a person his right to defend himself.


Theres so much other shit to be taken care of before worrying about Blizzard though. Just a shame I could get some money out of the bot, I never even botted myself. Xmas comign closer and all, I live like a ****ing bum. Just glad my daughter doesnt see it that way... :/

I probably only started posting the thing cause mania was creeping up on me. I had been in hypomania for a while then, that was around the time I decided to simply not go to Uni/work anymore, so...

On the plus side, Ive had some time to take my attention off the bot and learned some ASM. Got pixel grabbing up to 1mio function calls in a second LOL! So memory reading, stack handling, gdi and other gfx functions, injecting code into running processes. probably gonna add dx device to that list. ive acquired some pretty useful skills. should probably be thanking blizzard lol. Thanks Ricecunt! Oh and I hope you enjoyed looking at naked kids. Can't claim there was no disclaimer though!

Btw today Ive met the guy who runs Frostmourne and other pvt serverswhile shopping for groceries 5mins from home, didnt know he won a case against Blizzard. Huge Coincidence lol. I've had a partner at first who write me through this site. We were in touch for a week before we realized he also lives in Hamburg. Bossland... Hamburg. What is it with this town and online games lol?!?!

Youre probably right, but I just havent been able to get shit done. THis illness still has a very tight grip on my beahvour most of the time, sklipping the 2nd night of sleep once more... I gotta get someone assigned to look out for me aside from the lawyer. I can either choose someone or several people for different jobs who then will be paid very well for it if Im not mistaken. like 25-45€ per hour. If theres anything good about the status quo, its that ill have 1 or 2 servants to my name lol.
i cant pay rent, gotta get on ****ing welfare now. wont get any pension in at least another year. Hopefully before my 30th birthday, thatd be awesome. surely not as awesome as being healthy or still having this this project or being a doctor, but hey. Mania isnt really that bad, the worst part is what it does on a social and somatic level (neglect...), Ive been feeling pretty dandy and sweet overall. I bet Ive got at least 10 teeth with cavities now. Hopefully my eyes and skin will recover completeley. THe mind obviously hasnt suffered that much considering ive only been coding since early june and that went pretty damn well. argh starting to rant again, sorry bout that.
