Are they discontinuing their Indie games program? If so, that is to bad, but for me at least it is not a deal breaker. If it is simply smaller game studios then that really would be a problem as a lot of times, it is those risk taking small studios that come up with something great.

Microsoft is going for the "Video" in "Video games" while Sony want to reinvent Facebook, so where should we turn if we want an actual game-console?

And that Microsoft turn their backs on indie developers is as Ket mentioned not that big for the average player but may prove to be a big problem for small developers.

I'll just stay with my computer for now!

Well that's the crux of it right there....

This generation of consoles is finally significantly worse than what you can even get in a mid range PC. Game consoles used to have an advantage because they could be specialized hardware that was designed specifically for gaming. Well now there are components that are designed for PC under that same purpose. So what hardware ISN'T designed for gaming in mind these days? The console has nothing left to gain market share vs PC. In fact this gen of console will BE PC's so why use a substandard computer when you probably already have a better PC.

I'm interested to see that because this gen of console is so similar to PC's if the emulators will come out pretty quick.

Wow. Totally agree Jaerin, +4 rep on that. They're making it possible to skype chat, watch movies and browse the internet on the console BUT you have to pay money monthly to get access to these feautures such as Netflix and Skype Premium. Why not just download or stream the movie online and skype free on your PC? I'm not going to buy any of these new consoles for sure :/

Jaerin, you make a great point. Not much left for them to capitalize on so they make new things such as kinect, that the desktop computer doesn't "have" (but it can have everything).

This is just another kick in the nuts to indie people. It's a giant middle finger from mi¢ro$haft.

It isn't called 'pc master race' for no reason.
