Bot Bans on the Rise: Possible Banwave?

I don't think there's a banwave, maybe just an increase in player reports because they were some featured threads about bots on the WoW site. I use pirox and many people have been being banned as well.

Personally i dont believe there is a ban wave with hb and gb i run 17 bots in total 9 gb's of a night time and 8 HB's of a day time my botting computer is never switched off if a banwave was happening i wouldve lost atleast one of my accounts by now

I'm hoping it's not a ban wave and just a influx of player reports. My account got a 72 hour suspension using honor buddy, however I was using a public profile and was being very careless. Now I'm only using profiles that I make so hopefully I won't get caught again. ;(

I've been botting on hb almost 24/7 the past few days.
Never sold the farmed mats on ah though.
And im doing my own profiles, making it extra safe.

Or because of the recent AV weekend . Sometimes there's up to 10 bothers per battle, and that's just the obvious ones.

Some of the "facts" in this article are questionable at best. I've been putting up 300+ auctions per day, which is really more than any human could possibly farmed for the past year. Nothing has happened so far, and by bot is running 24/7. Literally.

How much did you get for that HB / GB banwave thread, and who paid you ?

"There is no evidence that Honorbuddy or Gatherbuddy are currently detected on Warden, but that could change any time" - as with any other bot, at least the ones which do have any warden protection, there aren't that much out there


Next time you write an article, maybe you should check for the difference of an Suspension and an Ban, as most of the player reports which we do have at thebuddyforum.com are 3 day suspension.

Botters know all the risk involved. The experienced ones will do what it takes to minimize those risks. QQing about this on a forum full of exploiters and botters won't make the situation any better, you're just gonna get mocked.

Yeah this article sucks. I still bot with HB but cautious as always, and have not been banned. There are various reasons why BOTTERS are being banned more often lately.

I run 3 accounts GB 24/7 everyday, the minute they ban me i have 3 new accounts ready.

How ever ive been doing this for 9months now and have yet to receive a ban.

I got warned once.

sorry bud. as a former newsteam member I have never "flamed" a newsteam article in my life

but this article was extremely biased towards HB and GB.
The truth is that HB and GB were probably hit LESS than other major bots

there has been an increase in bot bans this week.. no banwave
people who remember the glider wave in march of 08? (I think) KNOW what a wave means

attacking GB and HB was a bit un-necessary... and you clearly pissed off bossland haha

but yes it is true.. be cautious now more than ever as something is clearly going on

I have to agree with Seifer. I have been using SGather to farm thousands + auctions in the last week or two, and surprisingly, my 2 friends who have used no illegal bots/programs recieved 72 hr suspensions for suspicion of getting hacked and doing bad things (which they werent), while im scott free and breaking the rules lol. I've stopped gathering since that patch that came out yesterday, which seems to be updates to warden and other behind the scenes tools.
