It seems that Cataclysm will not only release larger-than-life changes to Azeroth, but to the weapons capabilities of the Alliance and Horde. Ever wonder how big of an explosion would result from that giant bomb on the Skybreaker? The Horde's bomb is even smaller, and made this big of an explosion:

Wow. I mean, wow. Did you see that explosion? It created a massive crater within the forest of Stonetalon. Not that the zone wasn't devastated enough from the Venture Co. and their exploits, but now it has been nuked?

There is an answer to be begged here: does the weapon also create a tangible amount of fallout, or is it a purely explosive munition? WoW story writers tend to like the idea of the massive corruption and poison of nature, so I wouldn't be surprised if Alliance and Horde characters in the area will spend time surveying the damage to the wildlife.

A lot of players are worried that this is yet another step too far into a sci-fi setting in WoW. It really doesn't bother me, and future tech in WoW was a welcome change. I guess that stems from the fact that my heart always goes out to 40K, as opposed to Warhammer classic. I prefer sci-fi over fantasy, and love when we see new technology in WoW, as it makes my roleplay even more interesting.

Being the leader of a genocidal RP-PvP guild on Moon Guard (US), this will give my character even more justification for his point that the Horde is a disease that needs to be eradicated. Now that the Horde is nuclear capable, who knows who else will get a hold of the technology. (Forsaken with a dirty bomb, anyone?)

This lore update just adds to the "Cataclysmic" feel of the expansion, and I'm really looking forward to rolling a Horde character just to do these quests. Alliance characters help evacuate as many people as they can from Stonetalon, in order to save their lives from the impending nuclear strike.

First, the Wrathgate, now, this? It seems the storyline of the conflict between the Alliance and Horde is growing even more tense!

This is great, I love the new things they are doing to quests. And I am definitely going to start WoW again! This is like World of Warcraft 2!!

Sounds like they have investested quite some time to make a nice story again.
