As you may have all heard, there's a new Counter-Strike coming out. It's called Counter-Strike: Global Offense, and will bring the environment of Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source. Creating a monumental type of gameplay. This is just a quick article to give the community a chance to check out the new part of the Counter-Strike series. Only drawback on this is that the gameplay is being recorded while someone is playing it on the XBOX 360. They are going to release it for XBOX 360 apparently, and we all know how the last Counter-Strike for XBOX was. Without further a due, here is the footage for the new games gameplay.
When I saw the gameplay I personally couldn't make a proper judgment on it. Too hard to tell the difference when you're not playing it. Considering Valve has made DotA 2 and hasn't gotten any bad flack for it, means they'll definitely be able to remake Counter-Strike in a positive way. It's a great approach they are taking, because 1.6 and Source users will get the chance to play together, meaning a larger player base. CS:GO is trying to combine the Counter-Strike 1.6 feel with the Counter-Strike: Source graphics, hence why I say 'trying' because it is going to be tricky throughout the entire development of the game.
My speculation is that Valve will hit it spot on after beta and everyone giving their feedback on it. Might take a few patches to get everything set in stone, but it should be an over all great experience. What do you guys think? Does CS:GO sound/look good to you? Any opinions on the platforms they plan to make it available for? Thanks for reading!
