    [Question]WoW won't run "clean" without the MPQs. Help?

    Hi, I searched a couple of terms and phrases and couldn't come up with anything, so I hope this isn't a repost.

    It seems I can't run WoW without my model edits now. My common.mpq is corrupted. Specifically, there's something wrong with the Taurenmale.m2 (or something along those lines). Interesting enough, I have an edit that changes the Tauren male into a Female Night Elf, complete with hair colors, gear resizes, the works.

    Now I just want to play WoW without my edits for a while, but I can't because the game can't render Tauren Males and crashes. WITH my mods, I'm fine (well, not exactly, the druid I'm questing with lags me for a couple seconds when he switches out of form). Without them, when I try to run WoW clean, I can't.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this? I tried transfering a clean WoW Data folder to my WoW, but it didn't work. Can I get a .MPQ file to reverse my race change? Like Tauren Male to Tauren Male? My biggest concern is not being able to play when a new patch comes out and MEFix hasn't been updated.

    Thanks for any help you can provide. I'll provide some more information if anyone asks. I just didn't want to go into too much detail if it isn't needed.

    Move the mods out of the folder... but make sure you keep them because they take a while to load, Then you will be fine to launch without MEFix... OR at least thats how it works for me

    You patched with edits in. The patcher merged the files. Reinstall or repair.exe.

    Are there any files besides patch.mpq, patch-2.mpq, common.mpq and expansion.mpq in the /Data/ folder?

    @schlumpf
    Ugh, reinstall? That'd take hours! I must've patched with the mods then.
    No, there isn't anything but what's supposed to be there in the data folder, and repair didn't fix the problem. So, is my only option to reinstall?

    @Vannaka
    I love that name. Mind if I use it for an alt? :)
    Anyway, I can't just rip the mods outta the folder and start WoW normally, I corrupted something, and it just crashes.

    Well, you could just use a modelediting fix and make a mod which converts the things you have changed back then into the original state. Or as said: Reconstruct the old files.
