In the scamming section, I have seen so many people constantly ask "How can I not get banned for doing this?"
Here is how to drastically lower your chances of getting banned when you scam...
I was talking to my friend about this at school, cause I thinking of scamming gold again when I get more time on my account. He told me, that after you make a character and scam the gold/items, this is what you do:
Delete the character (duh!) and then what you want to do is to make another character with the exact same name!
The reason for doing this:
What this does is it tricks Blizz by making it seem as if that character has never traded or sent mail.
Example:
Let's say you created a toon named Iliketurtles (not that you would ever have a name like that when you scam), and then you scam some chump out of 300g. After you send or trade the gold to your account, you log off and then immediately create another character with the name Iliketurtles. The victim tells a GM "Some dood named Iliketurtles scammed muh goldz," they then check the logs and see that the character Iliketurtles, level 1 <insert race/class here>, has not sent mail and/or traded with anyone.
Gratz, you now have a much slighter chance of being banned. I highly doubt a GM or any Blizz employee will go through the trouble of trying to find the original character that you used to scam the money.
Oh yeah, if you're going to flame, I don't want your 2 cents, keep it to yourself :banghead:
