World of Logs tip

The might be more than useless to some people, but others can find it REALLY useful ! If you like WOL and spent a lot time looking at logs etc, maybe your GM or class leader and want to find out how your raiders really do and what they might need to improve.

This "trick" will show every single spell/ability a special player have used and when (rotation) at the same time you will be able to track procs, buffs and more.

First of all go you the fight you want to check a special players playstyle. I selected a random Argaloth 25 man kill since this encounter is pretty much tank and spank and pure dps boss.

The next step is the one most people don't even know what is.

Dashboard > Expression Editor


This part of the log shows almost every single thing doing a the whole encounter and can be really helpful, at least I have found it nice.
The next thing you want to do it type in a "code" that will tell the log what we need to know and from who.
The command will be like this:

sourceName = "PLAYERNAME" and ((type=TYPE_AURA and targetName = "PLAYERNAME" and fullType != SPELL_AURA_REFRESH) or type=TYPE_CAST)

In your browser it will look like this.

IMPOTENT: THE PLAYER NAME HAVE TO BE WITH A CAPITAL START LETTER !

Now click run and let the magic happen, you should get something like this.

Hiding the player name.

Thats pretty much it. If you like WOL this might be really great for you, or maybe you just want to see what the TOP raiders do in a pull and learn that way.
