[Guide] Abusing new blizz auction system with Iceblade Arrows/Shatter Rounds

we all know the Iceblade/shatter rounds scam, but now, Blizzard made a much easier way for us to apply it without resorting to addons/macros/whatever

First, buy a stack of 1000 arrows/rounds, it will be around 5-10g depending on your server

then, with that stack, go to the auction house and put it up on the auction slot, and select 1000 stacks of 1 (or whatever number of arrows/rounds do you have, in the case of our example, 900):



after that, on the dropdown menu below, select "per item", and add a low value to the bid (like in the example, 5s) so the auction appear first on the list, and undercut the 1000 stacks by 1g, 2g (in this example, 1,5g because the stack was 3g at the moment of selling) and the duration to 48h



after that, just click create auction and wait the magic happen



depending on the amount of demand of the huntards on your server, your mailbox will be flooded with 1,50g auctions, so grab an addon like BetterInbox to open them all

doing this at raid nights gives better results, and prepare to also receive complains, so do this on your bankalt or a char that you don't log in much, and prepare do fill his ignore list of huntards

just sharing something I've found out that works (because some mods like auctionator limited the amount of stacks posted by 40 before the patch)

now blizzard's UI do the work for us, that's the point of the guide, not telling you to do the scam, just how to do it properly abusing the system

I can confirm this as working
posted 200 pieces, and before I had posted nr. 100 someone had allready bought 4, I put them all at 4g buyout (4s lower than real one)

so this CAN work, as OP said, depending on how many idiots you have on your server

this is not a good way to make alot of money, but it is a little money, for no work at all

I've tested this as well, putting each arrow at 3g (so cheap on my server, QQ), 225 total.

I logged in, had 75 things in my mailbox; 12 angry letters and 63 auctions of 2g 85s. Even better than the saronite version of the scam, thank you.

ahw crap, why didn't blizzard set a way lower maximum amount of stacks, the AH will be flooded and you won't be able to find what you want anymore

This would make more sense as a way to put your arrow/bullets on an earlier page than your competition's ammo. Hoping people buy one ammo at a time to profit a few gold is dumb.

no, see it works like this... u buy a stack of 1000 arrows, for say, 5 gold.
put up a stack of 10 arrows for about 3 gold each, since you can make 100 stacks of 10 out of a stack of 1000, that means 3X100 which is 300, minus initial cost of arrows and listing price, your profit is about 285-290 gold. That's 57-58 times your original investment.

it's the new AH UI, my post shows how to abuse that new features to flood the marked with stacks of 1 arrow and fool others to buy them thinking it was a stack of 1000

I just tried this and sold more than 20 in a day. Not much gold but its pretty funny. I was watching someone buy them standing right next to me in the AH. Also makes a great noob detector!

I would definitely notice if it's on at 1 arrow at a time, and I would be more inclined to pay for stacks that cost a little more rather than having to buy auctions one at a time.
