AOE farming Rhinos for gold, xp & glory

Here is what I do for some quick XP and gold.

In short: AOE grinding Rhinos north of Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra as a BM-specced Hunter with a gorilla, making 448g and 146.386xp in 20 minutes (439.000xp/h @ rested).

Detailed (Get ready for wall of text):

As a casual player I often don't have much time to play, half an hour here, an hour there. Getting set up for questing can often take much of those precious minutes. But logging in, running out of the inn and going on a killing spree is much better.

When I started in Northrend I quested and managed just about 250.000xp/h, rested. That took too long. But as soon as I started AOE'ing plentiful beasts with my trusty Gorilladin and volley things got a little more interesting.

I started by pulling a single pack of Rhinos just North of Warsong Hold. Now at lvl 72 I can safely handle 2 packs at a time, and still have enough left for that annoying Lord Ned (Is that his name?) that wanders around the Rhinos.

Here is what I do:
1: Put on Aspect of the Hawk
2: Send the gorilla at a pack of Rhinos. Hopefully his thunderstomp aggroes all of them.
3: Send the gorilla at another pack of Rhinos.
4: (optionally) Use misdirection to put a few more Rhinos on your gorilla.
5: When the gorilla has stopped with hordes of Rhinos bashing him, pop a Mend Pet.
6: Lay down an Explosive Trap in the middle of it all.
7: Start volleying the rhinos.
8: Repeat until dead (the rhinos, that is).
9: Pop a Mend Pet again, if needed.
10: Put on Aspect of the Viper to recharge for the next packs.
11: Loot, skin, hump a rhino carcass, whatever floats your boat.
12: Repeat from 1 until satisfied.
13: Ding & profit like crazy.

When I do this I get 420.000 to 450.000xp/hr when rested.

Plus the loot is nice. I made a nice spreadsheet of the things I've got from 20 minutes of doing this. 24.6g just from the vendor-trash. Including the stuff that gets sold in the AH I made about 448g in that same 20 minutes. The AH-stuff included Rhino Meat, Borean Leather & Scraps and 3 Arctic fur.

The AH-stuff will of course sell at different prices on different servers.

After the session I repaired me, that cost me 1g20s, I didn't keep tabs on how much ammo I spend.

If you don't bother looting and skinning you can get even more xp/h.

For some this whole thing might be common sense, but on my server I'm all alone doing this.

ah if only i did not drop my skinning like couple weeks ago just for alchemy which seems to be the main source of gold in this aoe farming..

I think the rhinos are lvl ~69.
