Hey again fellow scammers!
This time I want to present to you a scam that my friend came up with:
Mostly directed against noob scammers.
You send this in a .txt to the victim:
Code:
Hello!
I have discovered a nice way to find out some World of Warcraft Account Passwords! This is
a very easy thing to do. And very rewarding too. Okay, here's how you do it! Blizzard Entertainment has set a
bot up on most E-mail services you can think of, Yahoo, Hotmail, Excite, MyMail, Gmail, etc, and we discovered
the easiest way to do it was through Hotmail (Well, if you are using Hotmail to send this that is) because Hotmail
has it's little Instant Send thing but it will also work with what every online service you are using. Anyway, to
the point.
You have to E-mail this e-mail address: [email protected]
The Subject must be: Password Recovery
And this is how you do it. Type this in EXACTLY as it follows:
<209.34.567.12/passwriter/"[email protected]">
<w[email protected].pwsup101/
<INSERT YOUR ACCOUNTNAME>/somms/read/send./somms/
<INSERT YOUR PASSWORD>/56.23.78.213/somms/
124.23.456/<INSERT VICTIM PLAYER NAME>/<INSERT VICTIM SERVER NAME>/
passretrieve101>
--------
Example:
--------
Lets say that your accountname is "<YOURACCOUNT>" , your password is "<YOURPASSWORD>",
your victims character name is "<VICTIMNAME>"and your victims gameserver is "<VICTIMSERVER>"
the message will be :
<209.34.567.12/passwriter/"[email protected]">
<w[email protected].pwsup101/
<YOURACCOUNT>/somms/read/send./somms/
<YOURPASSWORD>/56.23.78.213/somms/
124.23.456/<VICTIMNAME>/<VICTIMSERVER>/
passretrieve101>
Now remember names and passwords are case sensitive...
Therefore all captial letters must remain capital.
And there you have it! It's that easy! I've have received several account names and passwords using this technique
(Several with high level characters and much gold).
NOTE:In 1-2 working days (Monday-Friday), you should receive a return e-mail from
[email protected] in the same format you sent them, only your account name and password will be replaced with a new one,
somebody elses. Also note that when they created this mailing form. They did it for the purpose to support with "auto" emailing.
Regarding what someone wrote in a letter. So when this comes, they mailing system automaticly finds the account informations via
the servers. This way to hack is only able to do because of Blizzards stupidity while making the auto mailing system. Thanks Blizzard!
As this is against WoW's EULA, we HIGHLY recommend you send the e-mail from an e-mail account that doesn't have your
actual registration data (For example, set up a hotmail account with a fake name, address, etc.). When you do get a WoW account,
log on, remember that the real owner can always change the password on you, so you should transfer whatever equipment and money
you want to keep to one of your own characters quickly.
Have fun.
Change the email in white ([email protected]) to desired email address.
I highlighted the important parts in white.
Kind Regards,
Aggiish
