New spin on the blizzard email scam.

OK... now people are getting more aware of that email scam asking yu for your details... sooo i have been working hard and racking my brains for some type of idea. first thought of making a @blizzard email address but tht didnt work very well. and the it hit me. I thought. well gawsh david why not instead of using a scam that alot of people are aware about why not redirect people to your fake site? So this is what you have to do. you have to use some cunningness and deviantnessesity. First. get rid of the part that says :

It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell/trade your personal World of Warcraft account.
As you may or may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement.
If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be ongoing for further investigation by the Account Administration Team

Blizzard© might consider taking legal actions against your crime, if it seems too be of an extreme nature.
If you do not wish to have your account suspended you should immediately verify your account.
This action must be taken seriously.We need to confirm you are the original owner of the account.

This is easily done by confirming your personal information along with concealed information about your account.
You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account by sending us an email at:
[email protected]

Use the following template below to verfiy your account and information via
email:
* First and Surname
* Address
* Zip code
* Phone number Daytime
* Country
* Alternate emails that you have been using for this specific account
* CD-key, alternative a photograph of your CD-key that is located on your manual for World of Warcraft.
* Account name
* Account Password
* Secret Question and Answer
* The last 4 digits of the credit card you used for the last payment

If this is not done within the 48 hours you recieve this E-mail, your World
of Warcraft® Account will be Frozen and no longer available
for further use.
As soon as we have this information we will be able to progress the
resolution of this matter for you.
If you wish to review our current Rules and Polices, they can be found at:
Blizzard Technical Support

Blizzard Entertainment Inc
Account Administration Team
P.O. Box 18979, Irvine, CA 92623

and replace it with my new:

Dear player,
Your account has been repeatedly reported fro abusing/spamming messages to other players.
We have reviewed some of your earlier logs and we think that your account may have been played by someone else.
If this proves to be true, your account can be disabled. And if we deem necesary we may contact you further on this matter.

If you do not wish to have your account disabled you should immediately verify your account.
This action must be taken seriously.We need to confirm you are the original owner of the account.

This is easily done by clicking on this link to prove you are the official owner of this account.
You will need to log into your account so we can compare IP adresses and make sure is is the IP address you commonly
play from.

If this is not done within the 48 hours you recieve this E-mail, your World
of Warcraft® Account will be Frozen and no longer available
for further use until we have sorted this mess out.
As soon as we have this information we will be able to progress the
resolution of this matter for you.

Sure its shorter but is new so alot of people will be used to reading fake email that ask for your account details not asking you to go to a site to verify it :P. so if you wat use this. i havw been using it for ages and it doesnt let me down often.

- Too informal, change 'sorted this mess out' to 'resolved account issues' or something to that effect.

Also, you spelt for wrong in the first line.

Persian, the point of his post was to make the scam more believable to supposedly linking to Blizzard when it goes to your phishing site.

+rep, I like the idea.

Re: New spin on the blizzard email scam.

basically what you do. get a copy ofthe blizzard emal scam and then replace all of the info in there with my simple and reliable info here is a quote of wowtrade.
We are aware of scammer's trying to trick people with fake email's and MSN's.

Administrator's and moderator's on this site will never be using @ebur.dk email's.
If ya find people who do use these email's, then report immediately to one of the moderator's. If it's possible to ID one of the @ebur.dk user's, then please do write that aswell :-)

This is a known issue, and you should follow the following steps to make sure, that a scam won't happen to you

Check who the email is from.
Even tho it says @blizzard.com, it could still be a fake email.
Check if the email is asking for your password as Blizzard will never ask for a password.
