30k xp every 5-10mins.

While questing in Gorgrond i eventually came across the quest - Chains of Iron - Chains of Iron - Quest - World of Warcraft

I noticed that the are are 3 mobs (dominated Gronnlings) in the phased part of this quest that award 8-10k xp per kill. I abandoned the quest after killing these and ran back to Rexar to take the quest again.

Most of the time the entire phase had reset and i was able to kill those 3 mobs again (equip potion of accelerated learning for more xp), othertimes i would have to finish the quest and take Nisha to where you are suppose to hand it in before abandoning it again and retaking it.

I went from level 93-94 in no time and am currently halfway through 94.

My calculations say this makes between 180k - 360k exp per hour, + whatever you grind in between.
Is it realy worth it? Doesn't seem that much to me.

I tried this today and was able to do a run in just over 2min easily.
With rested and xp pot at level 94, i got ~50700 xp per run (including the 5 orc mobs you have to kill rewarding about 850xp each) so my calculations say about 1.5mil xp per hour with rested and xp pot if you keep up a good speed.

You have to abandom quest immedietly after you kill the 3 Dominated Gronnlings or it will get ****ed up and after you pick up the quest again and run back rexxar will be in the next part of the quest and you have to finish the 2nd part before abandoning again.
After i dinged 95 the xp dropped from around 15500 to ~12700 i think.

Thnx for sharing it got me an easy level atleast, dont know if it would be worth going 95-96 like this.

There have been guides out from Beta were its possible to go thru gorgrond doing a lvl under 20min, and these tecniques arent even posted on exploit forums. Just saying...

what I initially wanted to post but then nay'ed - have rested xp, xp pot and grab all lootable treasures (no rare mobs) and do all the events. You ding 2 lvls in roughly 1,5 hours if you stick to it.

Surely not 20mins for one lvl. It takes you around 20mins to get around the entire level, doing the events takes you about 20-30mins in total. That is for Gorgrond. Spires due to its level design is a whole nother topic (but has nice rested xp loot, might want to keep it for lvl 99)
