& [Database] Core and database choice

been planning to create a blizzlike server and wondering which core and database to use for it

im leaning towards trinity but unsure of database [links for the database and core sites please] pros? cons?

i also plan on compiling the source myself to make source edits so i'm wondering if there is a community out there i could join that could help me out on that (yes i do have experience with c++)

    thanks in advance

Trinity is DEFIANTLY the option you want to go for if you want a blizzlike experience.

Have a look around the website: Trinity Core MMo Server Framework - Powered by vBulletin
There is a wiki there somewhere and there are guides in the guides section of MMOwned (here) as well.

I have only tried TDB or something, and it was good apart from some dungeons had unattackable mobs that attacked you (they supposed to not do anything, might have been a core issue). I can't help there, sorry.

It's more, read a guide, follow it and try and compile the source, and if you encounter a problem THEN post on here asking for help.

GREAT answer man thanks for the help. Yeah I probably will go with Trinity now but still unsure of the database. Another question, do the coding for quests such as escorts and coding for instances, is this included in the database?

Can anyone suggest to me a database for BlizzLike servers?

Scripts for quests etc are coded in the core, and trinity have done a very good job of it. In fact, almost everything I tried was actually working unlike ArcEmu where nothing will work blizzlike. The issue will be if the database isn't setup to how the core works, for example if you need to talk to somebody to start an event and in the database it isn't set to a gossip NPC. See what virageknight recommended.
