    WoW ignores realmlist.wtf

After a few false starts I believe I now have a mangos 3.3.0a server running on my mac. Both mangos-realmd and mangos-worldd is running without any errors.

Happily skipping along to my realmlist.wtf I changed it to: "set realmlist 127.0.0.1". I tried to login but, no dice. I got the "The information you have entered is not valid..."-error. Strange as I have just made a new account in the database.

I went to the terminal and checked on the two mangos processes, still running, but no indication of me trying to connect.

So, I've tried every combination of information in data/enGB/realmlist.wtf that I could come up with. Even copy pasted complete ones off of here and other forums. WoW seems to ignore it no matter what I do.

I have also edited WTF/Config.wtf to get rid of the info there. I have deleted Cache and WTF, still no luck.

Oh, and all the time I am able to login with my real username/password on Blizzards EU-servers.

    What am I missing?

Start WoW with the -console thing at the end. Not sure how to do it on a Mac.
    "/Applications/World of Warcraft/Wow.app" -console
    Something like that.
Then, somehow get the console up. (` on a PC keyboard) and then type "set realmlist 127.0.0.1" without quotes. Works for me.

    Although you could try:
    Code:
    #set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
    set realmlist 127.0.0.1
    set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com
    set realmlistbn ""
    set portal eu

That's actually one of the realmlists I've tried. Word for word.

I can't figure out how, if even possible, to get to the console on a mac. I'll do some more searching.

Wowpew, you can check out World of Warcraft functionality on Macs - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft but I'm not sure it will provide you with the info you need.

There are some console commands there... read and see if it's useful to you.

I found that as well. Doesn't mention the console, just /console commands.

I got it working. Apparently I did something wrong when creating my account. I deleted it and recreated it and everything works now.

    Ah, I forgot about that.
If anyone still needs (possibly in future), you can type this into chat
    Code:
    /console set realmlist "127.0.0.1"
while in-game (Live or not) and it will change it.
