    [Guide] How to setup 2.4.X for Beginners (Non-Hamachi Guide Included)

    Guide: How to setup 2.4.X: For beginners: Public Guide Included!

    Requirements: A (Portforward) Router and of course a Computer =D!
    Now lets start, this easy guide, about how to setup the 2.4.X server:

    Download-Links (Recommended to Download):

    1: Download MySQL 5.0: MySQL :: MySQL 5.0 Downloads
    2: Download SQLyog Enterprise 6.13: Qsave™ - Quick Save™ - Easy way to share your files
    3: Download Ascent Trunk4.4 rev4552: Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting
    4: Download Character/Account 2.4.X DB: Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting
    5: Download Map Extractors: Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting
    6: Download 2.4.X Maps: http://www.tdcwow.com/maps.rar
    7: Download 2.4.X DBC: Filebeam - Free Fast File Hosting

    Now you downloaded the files for your *new* server, lets start the guide:

    Installing MySQL 5.0 completely, and install SQLyog 6.13!
    Now go on SQLyog and create a new Database (Choose your own DB name), i currently have a World database named: World and a Account Database named: Character.
    Now go into the "world" database, and use the ABD Tool, to execute all the Queries to the Database, when you did that, you need to Execute the "Character.sql" to your Character (Account) Database, and make your admin account on the table named: "Accounts".
    Now your server is ready for use, but now to the "Configs" in the Server Directory:

    Important thing of the World.CONF:

    <WorldDatabase Hostname = "Your Host" Username = "username" Password = "passwrd" Name = "Database" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
    <CharacterDatabase Hostname = "Your Host" Username = "username" Password = "passwrd" Name = "Database" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

    Important thing of the Logonserver.CONF (Leave it alone):

    <LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent"
    AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/24"
    AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/24">

    Important thing of the Realms.CONF:

    <Realm1 Name = "Your server name here"
    Address = "Your Server Realmlist here:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Colour = "1"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    - Now when you edited it, its available to play on your server, but only as 127.0.0.1 its for your self also called "LAN". Now your server is UP!

    Now to the Public Guide, how to make it WITHOUT Hamachi:

    1st: Make a Host on: No-IP - Dynamic DNS, Static DNS for Your Dynamic IP (As DNS Host, and: .servegame.com)
    2: Wait 5 minutes to the Host is up, and go into your router: 192.168.2.1, 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or: Run -> CMD -> IpConfig /all
    3: When you're in your router, you enable Portforwarding and Portforward those Important Ports for your server:

    8129 (TCP+UDP Enabled)
    8093 (TCP+UDP Enabled)
    3724 (TCP+UDP Enabled)
    3727 (This is for voice chat, it is optional, TCP+UDP Enabled)
    80 (This is for apache/your website, TCP+UDP Enabled)

    4: Your server is now Public.. But in the Realms.CONF, you need to change the:

    <Realm1 Name = "WoWExample"
    Address = "Example.servegame.com:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Colour = "1"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    5: Your server is now Public, and it should be available to play on it with realmlist: set realmlist yourhost.servegame.com

    - ENJOY AND GOOD LUCK FROM: 1337Cool!

    No, if you do not have Router, you need to run your server with Hamachi.
    Hamachi can be downloaded here: https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/list.asp

    I was reading this guide, I have everything, I created two databases, World and Character.
    I got stuck where it says to use the ABD tool to execute all the queries to the database
    First of all, where/what is the ABD tool, and what queries?

    Caboose45- if you are using SQLyog just right click on the database, then select restore from SQL dump. It will come up with a pop-up window. you the select the SQL files to upload to the database.

    Hope that helps.

    Edit- I am having issues with every time i create a character it disconnects. I have seen this before in other guides, so I am doing research. I will post what I find here, just in-case someone else is having the same problems I am.

    Edit2- I am not sure if it was just me, but the Items table was empty, so i uploaded an items table from another repack. I would link to my items SQL file if I could.

    You need to import the files from the SQL Update folder. There is no Batch file to execute. If you are not sure how to import the files into the SQL database, let me know and I will try to help you out.

    Alright I see the SQL Update folder. So how do I import them into my "World" Database? and do I need to import ALL of those folders and SQL files into my Database? Or is there just one that I need to?

    yes, you need to import most (if not all) of the sql files. im guessing that you know very little to nothing about SQL, so just import them one at a time.
