A change dot org petition is what pushed jegex into making legecy runescape servers, signing this wont do any harm. if you played on nost and loved the server and would like blizzard to open a server sine they wont let nost do it why not sign?

A shame to hear, Blizzard have never targeted non-profit servers, nor servers outside the USA. I guess they've finally decided for whatever reason that it is actually worth their time/money targeting.

jegex is not exactly on the same scale as Activision Blizzard.

What if everyone in america said that they didn't want to vote because their vote didn't matter? Then nobody would be elected, we would fall. If everyone recognizes the little impact that their voice has, then we could all get what we want in the end.

10,000 signers? They may ignore it. 100,000 Signers? Getting difficult. 1,000,000 Signers? Give the people what they want, there's no ignoring it anymore.

They wont get 20k. It's a moot point. The server is gone. Another one will pop up like it. Last, then that too will be gone. Etc etc.

A private server is doomed once it goes live. If it gets to the status and population Nost did than that doom comes sooner than later. It's a damn shame that giant community is now going to dwindle away just like that but everybody who played on it knew in the back of their mind that it was only temporary. Molten WoW ended up the same way. It's clear Blizzard doesn't care that there is a huge thirst for what WoW once was compared to what it is now. They would only consider the thought of adding these servers like Everquest if the subscriber base dwindled down to unfathomable numbers which they won't for a long time, even if Legion bombs.

Today marks the death of a great server ran by passionate people with nothing but the intentions of playing the version of a game they cared so much about. I feel bad for the admins and the moderators who volunteered a lot of their time to this. But even those who volunteered hundreds of hours knew this was their fate sooner or later.

Runescape was also in a LOT different of a situation than wow. Runescape took a massive hit to the playerbase after some of their decisions (getting rid of the wilderness being a big one/putting trade limits). And as everyone else has mentioned, Runescape is in a different spot compared to WoW. Also it wasn't a petition that pushed Jagex, it was the mass amounts of players dropping from the game that pushed them to ask if bringing it back was a good idea.

And yeah, just because 1mill people sign a petition doesn't mean Blizzard will be forced to adhere to your commands. It was their property to begin with.
