This is a continuation of the original DepositBox by CodeMoose ( http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=1104 ). As CodeMoose is no longer playing WoW and has released the code to the public domain, I have decided to take on the task of maintaining it. Praise for the original idea should be directed to CodeMoose.
DepositBox is an addon that lets you store money in a safe place where you can save up cash without being able to accidentally spend it. You can deposit and withdraw your saved gold using the friendly user interface, just type in the amount you want and press the store or retrieve button.
While money is saved in the DepositBox, it will not show up in your bag or on merchant windows. This means that you can't accidentally spend money that you've stored away.
This gives a nice way to save up for important purchases like your epic mount
Features include:
Direct Deposit: When enabled, a percentage of any money earned will be deposited directly into your DepositBox storage. For example, if you have 'Direct Deposit' set to 20% and you sell an item for 1g, 80s will be deposited to your Bag and 20s will be deposited to your Storage.
Bag Threshold: Set a maximum amount of money that will be held in your Bag. Once the threshold is reached, any further money earned will go directly into your depositbox storage. Use this option if you only want to keep enough gold on you for repairs and minor purchases and have the rest saved automatically.
Storage Target: Set a target amount of money you wish to have stored and DepositBox will alert you when you have reached that target. (Must use Direct Deposit or Bag threshold for this to be enabled)
Minimap Button: If you want to save that all important screen space you can use a button around the minimap to show/close DepositBox.
Money Display: You can use this to display the amount of money available in your Bag or DepositBox without the need to open up your inventory. (Works best without using minimap button)
Accountant Compatibility Mode: Turning this feature on will allow DepositBox to work correctly with Addons that record your earnings/expenditure. (Although it may cause some other Addons to show your total gold instead of just the amount not stored away)
TitanPanel Enabled: DepositBox will register itself with Titan Panel if it is found.
myAddOns Enabled: DepositBox will register itself with myAddOns if it is found.
Command Line options:
Type "/depositbox help" or "/db help" for a list of the available commands
Notes:
* If anything ever goes crazily wrong with the addon, just delete it from you addons folder and all your money will be restored back to its usual place. Or if you're more adventurous delete the DepositBox.lua file from the WTF\Account\<AccountName>\<CharacterName>\SavedVariables folder. But hopefully you won't need to do that
