Need Help Hacking My Door Key

Hi guys, this may sound stupid but oh well. At my college we have these new locks "mag locks" and we all need these stupid wristbands to unlock the doors, they are small bands with a black microchip on them. I was just wondering if there was any way some one could help me fiddle about with it and make it a "teacher" wrist band

Simple answer, yes it is possible. Reality, probably not from these forums. We'd need access to your wrist band + test it on your door.

due to the fact that my college is a campus the only thing that would happen to me is susspension

Anyway, try at least say manufacturer of your band. Also you would probably need special equipment to reprogram it.

I don't see how that means that you won't be put into jail due to the fact that it's a campus.. Tampering with university property to gain entrance to other peoples' living quarters could be considered attempted forced entry, which could get you jail time, a fat fine, or expulsion from the university itself. But on topic, it could be done, but definitely not on here. Since the band is hardware, and you don't have the access to the software that programmed the chip, nobody here could do anything sadly.

We have cbord for our electronic door locks. There is a usb port on the bottom side of the lock.

If you have an android phone with NFC, you can install the app named "NFC reader" and see what technology the wrist band uses and its fingerprint.
Then you need a NFC programmer that can program that type of technology , and a rewritable NFC card with that technology, and a teachers/janitor card/wristband, someone with elevated access. read its fingerprint, and copy onto the programmable card.

However, this intended use is illegal and will probably get you in trouble... Have fun

PS: It might be some other "anti-tampering" code on the chip which can answer with some other fingerprint when you actually use it. To pass this, you need to go into radio technology, read what signal the door transmits, emulate this, do some magic, and program the card with your simulated code which should work with the door.
