Pixel based Navmesh Detour / Recast ?
Hi,
im looking for someone who could extract current map chunks and use them with recast / detour to create a navmesh for waypoint generation.
I have seen there are some repos out also for java, but most for 3d maps with valid XYZ. Currently classic just has XY.
I have tried to extract from current build or mangos but had no success.
Thank you.

I think you misunderstand, you can't use 2D meshes for a 3D world. The up axis represents slopes, ignoring this will mean your pathfinding will attempt to send you up steep terrain...
If you really want to use an emulator's "mmaps" generator for navigation make sure it's a version which supports WDC2 for it's databases. From there you can change the expected file magic to CLS1 and the CASC storage product to "wow_classic". It should be able to dump the navmeshes, but be aware that they are (IIRC) quite low in resolution.
Perhaps you should start here: ADT/v18 - wowdev
Learning the format and dumping the map geometry yourself will give you a better understanding of how to integrate pathfinding. I hope you did a lot of reading on R&D as well, most people I've seen tend not to use much of the features it offers.
