Sup: I've came back to MMOwned after a good year or mabye even more. Disapointing to see all i got from this was about 40 rep, but anyway! I'm planning on revamping this guide soon as the pictures and so on here kinda suck + its the same as the guide, with a few minor changes. For now until I get my ass in gear to revamp this, enjoy the guide.
In this Guide I will be showing you how to change item's / armour with Hex editing, also at the end I will show you how to change the sheath position.

FAQ:
Q. What's the code for Staff Sheath?
A. 02
Q. Why can't I find the item I want to change my current item into?
A. You need to see the item in-game first. Or use a hex calculator. (See below)
Q. Do I need to make a backup of my itemcache.wdb?
A. No. If it's deleted, the first time you enter the game again it is recreated. The whole point in the itemcache is so it loads items you've seen before faster. Or so Blizzard want. Generally it depends on how good your computer is.
Q. Is this a ban-able offence?
A. No, because Blizzard can't know you've done it. It's completely client-side.
Using a hex calculator -
1. Go to Allakhazam.com: World of Warcraft and find your item.
2. Go to the item page and click XML
3. Scroll down till you find Display ID
4. Copy the number into a Decimal to Hex convertor (google around).
5. The Decimal to Hex converter will spit out a 4-character value. Take the first 2 values and flip them, with the last two values.
6. And you have you hex code.
For example, I did the cruel barb:
The Cruel Barbs display ID is 7311. Putting this into a Decimal to Hex converter I get 1c8f. Flipping the first 2 values it becomes 8f1c.
Special thanks to merfed for that.
