(First post so be gentle)
Clothes editing with DBC editing
Firstly you need
DBC editor - I couldn't find it on the internet anymore, so i uploaded it for you: http://files.filefront.com/DBC_Edito.../fileinfo.html
My warcraft studios
WoW model viewer
.NET framework is also needed for DBC editor to work, downloadable here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
.NET frameowrk and DBC editor can also be downloaded from here: http://bitforge.redirectme.net:8080/
If that link still doesn't work click here and download from first link
http://www.google.co.uk/search?clien...=Google+Search
Step 1:
Open ItemDisplayInfo.dbc with my warcraft studios, this can be found in Patch-2.MPQ or Patch.MPQ - Note: Always check Patch-2.MPQ first
(click the bar at the bottom and change it to see .DBC files, makes it much easier to find)
Extract this anywhere you like, doesn't matter
Step 2:
When you downloaded WoW model viewer you will have gotten a file with it called items.csv
Open this file with Notepad
This gives you values for every item, use the Edit > Find option to help you look
Okay firstly you want to find the 2 values of the items you want to change, in this instance I will change Netherwind Mantle to Frost fire shoulders
I look up Netherwind and frostfire and I get the following:
16917,34254,4,1,3,0,Netherwind Mantle
22499,35326,4,1,3,0,4,Frostfire Shoulderpads
Step 3:
Open up DBC editior and open the ItemDisplayInfo.dbc file
On the above 2 items there is 2 numbers we want, these are the second number in the string
22499,35326,4,1,3,0,4,Frostfire Shoulderpads
16917,34254,4,1,3,0,Netherwind Mantle
These indicate the row numbers we want to go to
Step 4:
Go to row number 35326 in the DBC editor, On this row is everything that makes frostfire look how it is,
You need to open note pad again and copy down the data in every coloumn of the row 35326
Step 5:
Now go to row 34254 (Netherwind mantle row)
And replace every coloumn in that row with what you scribbled down from the frostfire row so it is identical to the frostfire shoulderpads
This will trick the game into thinking that netherwind is frostfire
Close DBC editior and save the file changes
Step 6:
Using Mywarcraft studios add the ItemDisplayInfo.dbc to Patch-2.MPQ with the extension DBFilesClient\ItemDisplayInfo.dbc
Close the MWCS and open WoW, enjoy your new look
This can be done with weapons aswell
