    [program] poke's m2 converter (V 2.0)

    hello world, I'm poke123 I use the account of a friend for post my little program: a m2 converter


    it can:
    export and import m2 in this two extension:-cg3 (used by cabri, a dynamic geometry program)
    -obj (used by all 3D editor)
    view m2 (as in the picture)
    resize m2
    /!\ the soft is in french (sorry I did not specify, I'm french ^^)
    quick cheat sheet:
    fichier=file
    ouvrir=open
    enregistrer=save
    enregistrer sous...=save as...
    exporter en...=export as...
    importer de...=import from....
    outils=tools (I'm not sure of the word can someone help me ?)
    taille...=model size
    montrer=show (the model of course ^^)

    error:
    calmez vous n'avez encore rien ouvert ^^: you must open a file before (to ?) use the function
    obj n'est pas un format autonome vous devez d'abord ouvrir un m2 ou un pm2: you must open a m2 or a pm2 before (to ?) use this function

    input:
    veuillez entrer le facteur pour l'axe avant<>arrière: you must enter the resize factor for the X axis
    veuillez entrer le facteur pour l'axe gauche<>droite: you must enter the resize factor for the Y axis
    veuillez entrer le facteur pour l'axe haut<>bas: you must enter the resize factor for the Z axis
    veuillez saisir le facteur d'affichage (par défaut 1 unité = 25 pixels): you must enter the unit of the graphic (default is 1=25 pixels)

    I recommend this sofware for edit the obj file: milkshape 3D simple but effective !

    ps (it exist in english or it is else ?): If someone can say me why I can't receive the confirmation E-mail on (in ?) my account poke123 I would be grateful
    anyway if you want more explanation (??) I try to answer (in english it will be useful (for me ?) but in french It will be ... understandable ^^)

    finally! I can post with my account. Anyway, this is the 2.0.1 :
    -cg3 importer has been accelerated (whith an other global variable)
    - a little problem with obfuscator prevented the display of information in the property tab

    it's all ^^

    it is my intellectual property, if anyone wants the source code, I want him wonder, not that it is launching a decompiler for AutoIt which is disrespectful to the author. Private Message enough I rarely refused a request for my source but I think it's an important step and should remain. moreover the source is public on mmo-trick for VIP users. Do you want it?

    Just ask yourself: Would you be able to do this app without the other people developping and contributing open source and populating the wiki with information? So why not just put the sourcecode with the application so that everyone can upgrade and improve the program and take profit of the work you did to make even better programs? Thats how a section gets foward. But thats your decision, im not in need of the sourcecode, but others may be and are discouraged because they think they wont get the sourcecode to learn and improve.

    Hmm, if you want this program to be really epic, then you should go read about M2 view distance and M2 Collision for some ingame-world objects, not just player related stuff i would love that

    Very awesome! I can't wait to try it when I get the other computer back up.

    Does the obj import/export retain the weightmaps?

    And might it be possible to request lwo(lightwave) format import export in som leter version? I have all the specs, and have had trouble using lightwave objects with the existing import/export tools.

    Either way thanks for the great tool^_^


    EDIT: Okay, i tried it, and am having some trouble: it seems to be able to load and display models, but when exporting only seems to export the points, not the polygons. And when attempting to import the files(even the ones it just exported) I get the error:

    Line 2165 (File "c:\modelviewer\my m2 converter V2.0.1.exe"): Error: Subscript used with non-Array variable.

    polygons are in the skin files, I can not read yet and regarding the error you get you could send me the file object that is causing it? Autoit is not suitable for objects files and even 3D objects in general, a stringregexp can get there in a rather small-scale but I just know it works for MilkShape 3D obj that it has little or no comment, AutoIt does not differentiate between the file and comment. mark a piece of commentary as a point and there is immediately a problem in the collapse of the variable that contains less than 3 vertices

    Ah, ok, so to edit you'd alter just the points. So with this tool you can't alter the weight-maps or add/remove points?
    I'll send the file when i get the chance.

    no you can't add or remove points, the file structure using pointer. it is very difficult to change its size and thus change the number of vertices without knowing all the pointers used. I already try to replace the data with a null char, but it's disappointing. However, changes to the points is often very useful, you can not make a model from 0 with. modify an existing one with some limitations imposed by the file structure is still possible and often enough to make beautiful things. besides, I do not even know how to make a model from scratch ^ ^

    I think yes, you can see for yourself that this is not a trojan with WPE or blocking Internet access to the application since it is not needed for operation. as a PUA.Script.Packed-3 and Worm.Autoit.Gen detected by anti-virus that I do not even know I think that is bullshit. but I guarantee you that there is no malware in my program

    edit: I posted the source code, anyone knowing programming in AutoIt will tell you that there is no risk
