    Can this be used to edit helmet models? Because I've been trying to work with the Blood Elf Bandit Mask model Helm_Leather_Blood_C_02_HuF.m2, and whenever I try to export the m2 back into the original file it does nothing.


    EDIT: Never mind, seems I had to uncheck the inject box that appeared whenever I choose Export, and just save it as the original m2.

    EDIT EDIT: Wait.. it seems that some of my model edits are able to save, but others aren't. Are there certain things I have to make sure remain unchanged?

    Attempting to export does not work for me, no matter how I try it.

    Amazing program. If I get this working, I'll be spending way too much time on the computer, staying up way too late, and in doing so, getting several people mad at me. I can't wait.

    I do realize my post was very vague, but I was still hoping for help. That's literally the best I can describe it. I've attempted every method suggested in this thread to extract it, none have worked yet.

    You dont extract it exactaly, this script is an "addon" to Art of Illusion wich enables you to open the M2 files directly, edit them, then save them directly,
    this is done not by open and save, but instead by import and export
    remember to allow about 30 seconds after you hit export before you close Art of Illusion or attempt to put the M2 in an MPQ file

    if you are having issues with getting the M2 out of the MPQ i recomend
    Ladik's MPQ Editor

    Yes, I meant export. I got all this, but "export" doesn't work no matter how long I wait. Thanks for trying to help though.

    Ah, well one other thing to consider
    when you export, it must be to the exact same M2 you imported from
    IE: if you import from bloodelffemale.m2 you must export to the exact same bloodelffemale.m2 you imported from, trying to save it somewhere else just wont work

    Hey, i got a problem... I went into the the common-2.mpq -> extracted the belf male m2 with the 3 .skin files and tried opening it in ArtOfIllusion.

    I get this message ; An error occured reading the file, not in Gzip format? Oo

    Edit; I had to do import m2 and it worked , but now i have another problem xd..
    So i extracted the belf male as i wrote above, but how do i edit it? it doesn't look like the player model? it looks like the belf guards :<, where do i find the player models?

    EDIT2: Ok, i fixed the above edit aswell lol , and i know how to edit it. BUT i got another problem now, and this one i can't solve ..
    After i have edited the file i enter wow and it crashes after a few secs in game? wth, i jsut spin my camera around once and wow just dissapears :<. HELP please
    ...Oh and my face looks retarded after a edit haha

    EDIT3: God damn, now it won't work editing the model... if i for example try to make the character slimmer it won't show in game, only the face change to the retard one above and it still crashes! <.<

    FINAL EDIT: Yay! everything works now! finally ^^

    ok, just made a rogh edit to see if it worked for me (it did) awesome tigurius

    Edit: ok, art of illusion is a bitch for me, I feel much comfortable on milkshape, do you have a plugin for that? or anything else on that case? Anyway, Awesome!!!

    How do I Hide geosets as I'm editing?
    I can't do anything in either art of illusion or 3ds ehn there are boots, hairstyles, tabards and capes allover the model.
