When you open Taliis the first time, a window should pop up asking you to locate your .MPQ files. If it hasn't popped up, go to "Settings" and select "MPQ sources" and its pretty much self-explanatory from there After that you should be able to edit .ADTs or what ever it is you are wanting to do with Taliis

and the heightmap IMPORTER is broken!!!! (The exporter works perfectly!)

Opened Azeroth_32_42.adt (extracted from common-2.mpq) and exported height map.
Heightmap was perfect and put into Freeworld3D (just a terrain editing program for developers) and it loaded the map perfectly (with my tweaked settings). Modified map and saved the heightmap back to the proper format (exact same as the one extracted anyway).

The heightmap goes into the map incorrectly...dont even look anywhere near what my height map image is...and yes It did try to import the correct file I checked, I overwrote original export both LOD and regular map!

As soon as this is fixed I have a tutorial written up already that will work (if the importer work correctly) and will post public when the import function is in tact!!!

How u use this, i saw a wow world building guide but i dont see any .exes or anything that isnt a zip or notepad, and this guy opened up a program for adding doodads into a .adt

I cant get taliis to work, having same prob as a few others.
I click open and the only one not grayed out is exit. I can also click on help which the about button doesnt bring up anything.

all other buttons are grayed out, I downloaded the beta version from the link here this at this forum.

Okay. I took myself some guts and re-uploaded the whole Taliis project.

Since this is the final "end" behind the official "taliis" project I wish to say some words.
The reason that I made the source public (again) and took a save place for downloads is that I want to thank all the users that still use it. Henche, it been 3 years that I did something on it. Its absolute over outdated... a Burning Crussade Tool ^^
But there still some people out that use it and thank you for doing so!

I want to thank Obscure for beeing the founder of that what were doing today.
THX for being a great example for that what I also wanted to reach doing Taliis.

And of course the co coders. Mae, Schlumpf and last but not least Tigurius.


I put the code online hopefully someone might do a fork for it. Whoever might try this can be sure to have my full support.
Taliis could realy need some update in its adt code ^^
