Hmm are you sure Outland Is'nt a Instance as you enter a Portal i enter from the "Main World" :confused:

Just 'cause it's not a typical get a group and kill stuff place, doesn't mean it's not an instance. It's got ADTs don't it?

in this game it isn't in the expansion it seems to be an instance under the folder expansion01

In fact Azeroth and Kalimdor are both instances too. from my udnerstanding:

How it works is that an instance or map is made up of .ADT files, which are like map tiles which get put together when the instance is loaded.

Each .ADT file has the files it needs coded into it and also the positions of the objects in space. this is frequently objects such as buildings, trees, textures, etc.

the .WDL/.WDT File defines which tiles get loaded and the height/terrain map of the zone.

So theoretically you can load RFC instead of azeroth or kalimdor.

The only problem with doing this is the map locations you zone into, zone into the wrong place and you will just fall into your death, so the maps need to tally up in location (or the X, Y, Z position of your character)
