Need help, not working in game

Okay, i put all my stuff in a MPQ file i called Patch-5.mpq which wasn't already there. I boot from Modeleditfix.exe, not showing up in game. I tried editing the IMP. What in god's name went wrong? I realize that this is probibly a knewb question but as of right now i am a knewb to all of this.

Maybe u altered the wrong one. There are several skins etc for imps.

But like, besides putting in MPQ and in WoW folders ect is there any thing else i need to do? I read something in a tutorial about some type of a tree list or w/e

Yeah you need the correct treepath for the blp/m2 file(s) that you hav ealtered.

Let's say you alter:
Creature\Imp\ImpSkinBlack.blp (This is the treepath for it in MWCS, from the Common.mpq, to get there you go to Creature (NOT WITH FULL CAPS), and u look for "imp" and in that list there is "impskinblack.blp")
When you later add it into your custom mpq you HAVE To use this exact treepath. (Creature\Imp\ImpSkinBlack.blp) for the new skin you used or model if that is the case. In that case it should be CREATURE\Imp\Imp.m2)
