My Photoshop won't behave - please help

Hello everyone,

I came to this forum in hopes of finding some helpful guides on model editing and Lord knows I have! Very nice guides here. Kudos.

Now, I've been able to convert BLP files into PNG files no problem, and I want to edit them in my Photoshop, but whenever I open the converted file it appears as though a lot of the pixels went missing. Although, seeming as I can't post links until I have at least 3 posts I can't show you a screen shot... Just try to imagine it as lots and lots and lots of lines of the pictures are missing, and the picture is barely viewable.

Now, I'm no Photoshop newbie - I've been using it for years now and I can't see why it's doing this, nor can I find any settings to change it. Is it something to do with alpha channels? Because if that's the case that's probably the only thing I have no knowledge on.

If someone can help me out with this I'd really appreciate it - I'd like to get a start on editing.

Open them in paint first. Then copy and paste them into photoshop.
