Need someone who is very good with 3.3.5 editing for some brainstorming

I've been trying to work out if it would be possible to spell swap the wings effect from Hood of the Malefic - Item - World of Warcraft with an emote, such as /roar.

After some of my own investigation I'm beginning to think that the wings effect isnt a "spell" animation but just part of the actual item model. the things that bugs me about it though is that even if it is part of the item it still has an animation to it so there must be some way to trigger it in an edit!

Anyone got any idea's on where to further investigate? does anyone know anything about this? or will this thread die with no responses! I'm guessing the latter!

DBC editing. I remember back then with DBC editing you could make it so the wings animation happens the whole time. Basically you are right that the animation is "stuck" to the item model and it has for example a property "wings animation" that occurs every X second or on certain actions.

As far as I know, if you want to swap the wings animation with an emote I do not think that is possible because it is actually the item model that make the wing animation and not your character.

It really has been a long time since that I worked with DBC so I cannot really tell you more specific things about it, but what I do remember from it is it contains IDs for textures and animations. Maybe if you delve into it deeper you can find your answer.
