Simple Model Edits for 6.0?

So with the new patch the layout of the data folder has changed. I knew how to create model edits with the old layout but does anyone know how we are supposed to work with the new folder structure?

If I am right, we don´t have way how to write something in CASC

Nope. its going to be at least half way through xpac till we get one. working with a new system file here.

Thanks for the info jh16! I'm still confused as to where the default models and textures are located to open with MPQ Editor. I have the edited .exe and I get that we just need to recreate the file path and filename in our WoW directory, but I don't know the filepath or filename for the default model and texture files.
