    mutilate and race edits

    hi, ive been using the race edits in glynbeards big sticky but when im using them the animation for mutilate wont work, if anyone knows anything about this, is it fixable etc. can you give me a hand.

    Just open the latest .mpq (patch-2 or patch) extract the model of your new race. Save it somewhere. Add it to a new mpq and name it like the old race's model.

    If you can't do it after reading this "guide" read other guides.

    I have been thinking about this for a while...so here is what I did:

    I extracted the mpq from patch-2. I renamed the mpq to the race I originally was. Here is where I hesitate however; Do I need to put the mpq in a new folder named <Insert Race Here> OR can I just create an mpq archive > add file to archive and then import the renamed mpq (not in a folder)?

    you extract the model from patch-2 (lets say you wanna be UD male and your human male) you extract the Undead male m2 (ScourgeMale.m2) rename it to HumanMale.m2 (as this is what you are normaly) then you put the M2 you just renamed into folders like Character\Human\Male\(m2 model here) and add that to your new MPQ and you will get the mutilate animation



    im not good at explaing but thats as good as i can do :P

    i made the sig for my guild fourm and that gray is from the fourm :P shame i dident save the psd for it >.> so got to do again (only took 5mins i wanna make better anyway) ^^ and thx :P

    o, and one more quick question....I'm not new and not advanced but I have been wanting to know:

    Can you merge like 5 mpq's into 1?

    I have about 5 "patch-3" mpq's that I use in my Data folder (all named differently--3,4,5,etc. for different edits). I want to know if I can take all of these mpq's and merge them into one mpq that will have all of these fixes in it. Any explanation is appreciated, thx.

    Using MWCS (My Warcraft Studio) just extract the ScourgeMale.m2 from patch-2, rename it to NightElfFemale.m2 (thus replacing the NightElfFemale Model with the Scourge Male one). Then create a series of folders named Character -> NightElf -> Female and put the renamed .m2 in the 'Female' folder. Import the folders into your new MPQ and you have it.

    I'm sure that was horribly incoherent. =/

    Edit: As for merging, I suppose you could just extract everything from your excess patches, import them into one patch, and delete the excess. There's probably a better way to do it though.
