I downloaded a file for changing Draenei females to UD males but I can't find any guide on how to install it...

I placed it in Program files/World of Warcraft/data with the other MPQ files assuming that would work but I must still need to change something as I get an error message when I select my draenei female character.

What files out of these should I replace with that one for it to work - if any?

congratulation. when replacing files you successfully failed. try reinstalling.
never replace files. this is why you get the advise to call it patch-x.mpq, where x is 3-9 or a-z.
